baed <http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=baed=3031764>
The text adaptation of the awesome way garthog says "so bad"; first coined by
Apple.

The use of "baed" was popularized when some baed guildwars players including
benson made a guild called "soo baed its epic

2
Baed <http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Baed=8318836>
The combined feeling of affirmation and guilt brought about when your partner
compliments you just before you break up with them. The word is a portmanteau
of the words 'bad' and 'bad'.
3.
Baed <http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Baed=9656050>

Re: Newbie-Question: Examples; maybe: Installation (Mac)

2009-05-18 Thread Bjarnþór G. Kolbeins
You will find the examples files if you control click the LyX.app
icon and choose to show package content
in the folder that opens you will find the example folder in the
Resourses folder that you will find inside the Contents folder.

the introduction and the tutorial fromm the help menu.

And so here comes my problem: I cannot find the example files,

cannot browse this like a folder (you see, I´m a little bit confused).
Finally, I tried to find the tutorial files with the search-function

Finder (cmd f), but this was a wild goose chase, too.

Could anybody help me, please (or can tell me, where to get help)?

It depends on how you installed TeX. If you used MacTeX, it can
be found at:

/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-dist/doc/latex/beamer/doc/
beameruserguide.pdf

Also how do I install extra classes. This all seemed failry
obvious with MikTex on Windows but struggling to find my way
around the Mac.

The standard location is ~/Library/texmf/tex/latex. (Note that
LyX won't recognize extra classes unless you have an
appropriate .layout file.)

Note that the beamer package contained in TeXLive 2007 is rather
old. Unfortunately there seems not to be a simple package update
option, like in MikTeX. I download the newest versions of beamer/
pgf and install them manually. It is not a big thing, though, you
just have to use the shell to copy some files.
