Manveru

Thank you. Your solution done with LyX 1.6 would not work with my 1.5.5
so I installed 1.6.1 and then it worked fine. I had wasted hours and
hours "fighting with" LyX then gave up and sought help. Thank you again.

Manveru and Wolfgang

I have already tried the things you suggested without success.

I have attached a test LyX file with the minimum to illustrate my problem.
And I attached the 400KB PDF of the graphic I want to display. One more
attachment: the PDF output generated by LyX.

FWIW I am using Mac OS-X current version. I am using LyX version 1.5.5

This problem is a "show stopper". The graphics make up the most significant
part of the book.

Thank You

I have a LyX math book in the works. It is in landscape format so I can
show
wide page sized graphics -- PDF files (generated by gnuplot and converted
to
PDF by AquaTerm).

The output book file (using pdflatex) shows only part of the graphic.
Nothing I have tried has convinced LyX to show the whole plot/graphic.

Could someone help me -- off list perhaps -- get LyX to display the
entire
graphic?

I would like to send the PDF file but it is 400KB and I did not want to
do
that to the list.

Actually, of course, I have a whole bunch of such PDFs to display and
can't
even get the first one working right.

Thanks

We, LyX users here on the list, do not prefer off-list solutions* -
this is library of solutions for further generations of users.

Did you use options in image properties dialog which allows to set
width or height of the picture in percentage of with of text column or
page? Try that, if not. It works in most cases.

If you still have problems, please provide more details about your
document, such as style (document class) you use, packages loaded,
whether your pictures are floating or not... etc.

* - sometimes with deep technical problems some developers drive
finding solutions off-lists, sharing results later.

Try this one - I change the options and for me it seems fine. Image
file is put without a path, so you probably have to modify it.

Applying your recommendation did result in the text going to landscape
mode. Thank you.

I am still having difficulties with implanting the plots in the document
but did manage to get two of the smaller ones embedded. Lyx, or
something, keeps wanting to clip off the right hand side of the graph.
