Child document and Undefined control sequence

Dear all,

I am having a problem with a child document - I attached the minimal working
files to be copied in the same directory. The master file contains the
child document Child (as include). When I try to compile the PDF I get
several Undefined control sequence error. If I open only the child
document Child, I can compile the PDF with no problem. I tried some
solutions I found on the list but with no success so far.

Some more information:
- AMS maths package seems to be active in both files
- Preamble is empty for both files

Any idea on how can I solve the problem?

Alternative numbering for tables

Dear Lyx users,

I searched on the list but I could not find any advice on my problem: I
would like to differently number the float tables. This is an example of a
sequence:
Table 1:
Table 2a:
Table 2b:
Table 3:
etc...

Is that possible? I found the LATEX package amsthm, but it seems not to be
designed for tables.
