Just fixed this by exporting as a PDF (ps2pdf), any ideas why I'd get this
weird
effect for all other PDF export types?

After upgrading, did you remove the previous version of MiKTeX
 from your system?

I removed lyx and MiKTeX then reinstalled MiKTeX followed by lyx.

Take a look at the .tex file and make sure that there are spaces between the
words.

Definitely spaces between the words in the .tex file.

Then run pdflatex against it (in a command window) and see if
 the same problem occurs.

How would I do this?

Thanks,

Josh

No spaces when creating pdf from lyx

2011-03-25 Thread Joshua Bon
Hi I’ve been using lyx 1.6 since the middle of last year and just updated
miktex and lyx to their newest (i think) versions 2.9 and 1.6.9 respectively.
Everything installed fine (I did a clean install) but when I create a pdf
document of my lyx file there are no spaces between any of the words.
I’ve tried using existing lyx documents and new ones but get the same problem.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m running Windows 7
