buffer-export pdf2 problem
Hi, I dont know what the reason is but when I do a File-PDF (pdflatex), I occasionally get the message buffer-export pdf2 at the bottom left corner of Lyx and the previous PDF file which I exported is shown rather than the most recent one file which I have opened in Lyx, modified, saved and exported again. I am currently running Lyx 1.3.3 on Windows XP. Any help would be appreciated :). Thank you. Regards, Kelvin Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo! Movies. http://au.movies.yahoo.com

reLyX errors
Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone else has this strange problem which I am having. I have been importing my latex documents into lyx with reLyx bundled with the Lyx distribution with great success (Version 1.3.3 Windows XP). However, what I found recently was that I could only import the documents if they are on my C: drive (ie, the drive which I have lyx installed). When i move the same files onto another drive, eg, D: or F: I get the following error message: Cannot convert file Error while executing reLyX -f report_v1.tex I have ensured that there are no spaces by putting the files by moving the files from C:\documents to D:\documents. Any ideas on how I can fix this? Thank you. Regards, Kelvin Ngo Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo! Movies. http://au.movies.yahoo.com

Bibtex and Lyx Problem
Hi All, I am currently running Lyx on Windows XP and I am having a few problems with my bibtex references. As it stands, I can add a .bib reference to the end of my lyx file and reference it with no problems at all. However, whenever I add a new reference to the .bib file which I have already inserted into my document, when i do an insert citation reference, the newly added references do not show up. At the moment, to get around this, I have to delete the references at the end of the page and then insert it again before the new refernces that i have added to the .bib file show up. Any ideas on how I can fix this problem? Thanks! Kelvin Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo! Movies. http://au.movies.yahoo.com
Re: Bibtex and Lyx Problem
Hi, Sorry, I tried it again and it is fine now. I was actually using a bibliography manager called JabRef and I had inserted new references in there. However, what I didnt realise is that I had to save it in order for the references to appear in the dialog box in lyx when you insert citation references. But thanks!! Regards, Kelvin --- Paul A. Is the document open in LyX when you add the references? If you close the document and reopen it (without deleting the references), does the problem persist? Re: Microsoft Word to Lyx
Hi, thanks to all the replies! Most of the methods described were really good and would worked with most of my documents. However, I have used this feature called autocorrect in this 100 page document which replaces characters such as ', - and many others with some characters which seem to throw errors when I do the conversion. S0 i think I will do a manual copy and paste into Lyx :(. Thanks for your suggestions. I will use it for my other documents :) --- Lars Risan [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: On tirsdag 12. oktober 2004, 08:27, Kelvin Ngo wrote: Is it possible to conver documents from Microsoft Word to Lyx? Bibtext for multipart documents
Hi again! I came across a thesis template which uses multipart lyx documents and then a main document that seems to include all the individual files. They have a separate file for the bibtex file. However, when I open the document from say Chapter one and do an insert reference, the bibtex database doesn't seem to be there. I tried searching the net and one of the solutions was to do an insert references on the main lyx file, switch to say chapter 1 and then do an insert reference. That seems to work for one citation. However, when I go to insert a second one, the library isnt ther again, meaning that I have to go back and repeat the process. Any hints? Thank you!!!
