Attention: very serious problem with fonts and encoding!
It seems that there is a pretty big problem with the new version of LyX with respect to fonts and encoding, when the application is used with other languages, namely Italian in my case. When I write words with accents, for example velocità (velocity), the letters with the accents get screwed up if I export them to HTML, or LaTeX, or even Text! Strangely enough, I don't have any problem viewing them or converting them to DVI, Postscript, or PDF through LaTeX. I can't seem to understand the cause, let alone find a solution. Can you help? I need LyX for my work. Among other things (I am a mathematician), I write articles for Linux Magazine in Italy, and we even published one on LyX itself just a couple of months ago! Thanks for your assistance. Sincerely, Rocco Rossi
