I just discovered that for some strange reason cp works once I start a new instance of lyx. After a while it does not work anymore however, which specific steps lead to this problem, I have no clue. Can anyone please help with this strange problem? Thanks Liviu, One messy way to work around is to paste the text in a text file, save, and import in LyX. Yeah, I have tried this. This works to some extend, even though I can not cp between two instances of lyx, only within one instance. Also the pasted text is underlined in blue (although this does not show on the final pdf or dvi). Paste special Plain text I have tried that also but all there seems to be in the paste buffer is stuff from the lyx document I copied, although I copied text from other applications after that. I am not sure when I used cp last but I am pretty sure it worked fine then. So I would really like to get it to work like this again.

hello, just now discovered that in my 1.6.6.1. alt installer lyx on vista copy paste from other applications (like Firefox or openoffice) into lyx is not working. Any suggestions? CP within lyx works well. Also I am sure it has worked before. Thanks a lot and greetings from Berlin SK
