Hm... text within math should be checked... so file a bug on that.

That not very good solution (for example, the text in math mode is not
spellchecked).

If you want a title page that is very different than the default one, then
just create it manually as you would with a standard wordprocessor
(without using the Title, Author, and Date layouts).
Use a table instead of the math matrix.

Sounds good! There's more than one way to skin a cat. Maybe next time I'll
try the math matrix method (MMM).

Thanks! I decided to use a slightly different method, namely creating a
matrix in math mode.

Would you like a sneaky, kludgy way to do it? I did it by putting title and
author as you would expect (and in your case you'd add the word "by to the
author, followed by an ert //. Then I did my magic, including all the rest of
the stuff in a single paragraph formatted in the Date environment, with
linefeeding controlled by // and/or //[1.0in], etc. Sometimes I'd need to put
a nonbreaking space in front of the // to kill errors.

It was a kludge, and it was sneaky, and it totally defeated the purpose of
the Date environment, but the result was a very nice looking title page.

Adding information below title+author+date

2002-08-18 Thread chiatee1

Good day,

May I know what is the best way to add additional information at the end of
a title page, after the title, author and date? I am writing a project
report, and the required format is as follows:

Honours Year Project Report

  Development of a Database LINK
Between Mainframe and PC

By
Chua Meng Lee

  School of Computing

  National University of Singapore
   1999/00

Project No: 90
Advisor:Dr Yap Chee Sing

Deliverables:
Report: 1 Volume
Manual: 1 Volume
Program:1 Diskette
Database: 1 Diskette

I have looked at http://www.lyx.org/help/titlepage/titlepage.php, but the
answer does not seem to be there.

(I am running LyX 1.0.4, and the document class I am using is "report".)

Thank you,
