Re: Blue underline
Patrick - Thanks for the quick response. This was the problem. A.lyx was using English (USA) while B.lyx was using English. Blue underline
All - I received a LyX file A.lyx from which I want to copy and paste into another LyX file B.lyx, but what I paste appears as blue underlined text in B.lyx (not in the original). When I preview B.lyx everything is OK. What is happening? Is there away to avoid this as it is annoying to look at? If it matters A.lyx was produced on a PC, while I am using a Mac. Thanks, Hal
blue underline of pasted text
When I paste text from one document to another, I get blue underlines. I do not have change tracking turned on. Does anyone know how to disable this underlining? The underlining does not show up in compiled output - only in the LyX editor...

Yes, then the language setting of this text is different as the default language of the document. Select the text and choose the textstyle-dialog and reset the language. Vincent

Blue Underline
After a copy-paste between open LyX documents, the pasted-in portion has each word and formula underlined in blue. Anyone know what's going on and how to remove the underline? Bruce

blue underline for wrong language?
After copying text from another document written in a different language (German instead of English) all the inserted text is underlined in blue color. Unfortunately this doesn't always stop where it is supposed to. What does this feature mean, how can I change it? Ulrich

You must select the undelined text and then Layout- Character - Language -Reset I understand that this feature tries to allow multilingual documents, but it has never worked for me, I mean if I try to spellcheck a document which has text with differents languages ispell is not able to work properly Hope it helps Ulrich

The multi-lingual support does the following: 1. Change the font between languages that uses different fonts (e.g. English/Russian). 2. Make latex use correct hyphenation patterns (i.e., if you write some German text inside a English document, and you don't mark this text as German, the German words will not get hyphenated). 3. Change the language of automatically generated text (e.g. "Figure" or "Table").
