Beamer Class: Now Cannot View PDF Output

  I created a presentation in LyX using the Beamer class. It worked
perfectly and includes two PSTricks figures (also done in LyX) that I view in
pdf4. Those two figures are saved as pdf files and included in the
presentation (along with some .eps figures).

  Today I made a couple of small editorial changes and I can no longer view
the presentation as a pdf file. Since I included two pdf figures I can no
longer use pdflatex or the ctrl-d to produce a .dvi output. So I use PDF4,
but I get the error message, Cannot convert file. Error while executing
'ps4pdf EIA-presentation.tex'.

  I cannot find the error. Exporting using pdflatex produces a file, but that
cannot be opened as acroread reports it being damaged. It worked just fine
before and I cannot imagine what I broke today.

  Help needed to figure out what went wrong so I can fix it.

  Sigh. I found in which /tmp/lyx_* directory today's log was hidden, and I
learned that the paths to the figures were not up to date. Once I fixed that
everything worked.

I am a very recent user of LyX; I use the Windows implementation 
(LyX 1.3.5). I have been using LaTeX for more than a decade, and 
am slowly getting used to the LyX approach. I like it.

While I have no difficulty in getting dvi output, I am unable to 
get a pdf output. When I do ViewPDF I get the following 
message:

Cannot view file. No information for viewing PDF (dvipdfm).
This is so both with dvipdfm and pdflatex. Clearly, I have to 
reset some configuration file, but I don't know which one or how. 
I am not able to find any answer to this in the Wiki help pages.

I would be grateful for help on this matter from some experienced
