I rarely scale my figures and instead tries to make them the right size

But I agree there should be a possibility to change the default values by
 some settings.

I agree that in the perfect world of a graduate school setting this is a
good philosophy.
Regrettably the world outside forces compromises. Point taken about good

I guess that you mean in the beamer class. Right?
Lyx lacks the possibility to have class sensitive key-bindings. But you
can always make a binding that inserts something, but then the binding
will be
 valid in all documents.
This is what I have in my personal bind-file to create an ERT
 \bind M-r command-sequence ert-insert; self-insert \\rb{} ;
inset-toggle
So by pressing M-r the macro creates a ERT put \rb{} into it and closes
it.

How to print crop marks?

2005-02-08 Thread R S Ananda Murthy
Hello,
I am publishing a book using Koma-script Book Class using LyX 1.3.5.
The printer wants crop marks to be printed for each page. I am printing
each page on A4 size paper. The print area is 36pc x 49 pc. Can anybody
give me a hint?

Thanks for your help,
Anand

Hi

Always been confused by a couple of things in Lyx on the Linux platform,.
and I wonder if others have managed to overcome these
confounds.

1. In the Insert Graphics is it possible to change the defaults in the

I invariably prefer to have the Output Width occupy 100 per cent of the

2. In beamer is it possible to create macros that insert ERT with a specific

Joining this list has been a rewarding experience and I am beginning to see
there is no need to put up with the small inconveniences of the Lyx
experience any more.

Crop Marks

2000-12-28 Thread Dr. Antonio Botelho de Sousa

Thank you Oscar and Herbert Voss for your sugestions.
I've dowloaded the package crop from CTAN and it works. But there's a problem.
The paper size of my book is h=23 cm an w=16.
So if i put in the preambule of the documente a4center, all the documente is
out of alignement.
How can i define a paper size of 23 by 16. Changing the macro?
But where are them?
Thank you once more.
