[looked at the files out-of-band]

It's a LaTeX issue, not a LyX issue.  I think you've encountered a 
collision between the sortcompress option of natbib and the hyperref 
package.  If you omit either sortcompress or the loading of hyperref, 
the document compiles correctly.  You might have a look at 
http://www.tug.org/pipermail/pdftex/2005-March/005676.html for possible 
work-arounds.
