I tried to reproduce the problem when using Qt 4.8.6, but still no luck.
Also tried old version of KDE tied to Qt 4.8, but could not reproduce.

If you can compile lyx on your own, you could try to bisect with git
which commit introduced this within the 2.3.3->2.3.4 cycles if you believe
its lyx's fault.
Otherwise I am running out of ideas.

Still no luck with reproducing, works just fine here.
Did it start specifically with 2.3.4 while 2.3.3 was working well?

I still can not reproduce. Do I need to put cursor to specific

I can't reproduce either, but might be related to particular desktop or qt
version. Frank, can you report those?

Can you be more precise about the steps you are doing?
When I hit alt+i menu opens. Now what?

If I press 2x escape to get from menu listing and menu itself
cursor looks normal here.

Freezing

2007-06-22 Thread Paniez Paykari

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am having problems with LyX. I am using it on two different systems
and they both have the same problem.

1) using on Windows XP ServicePack 2 the version is 1.4.4 and every
time I do 'accept all changes' or view 'dvi' LyX freezes. Although the
mouse cursor still moves. The only thing that can be done then is to
'force quit'

2) The exact same problem exists on a Linux machine too.

How can I fix them?

Cheers
Paniez

I have come across this bug too. I fix it by opening the file using
1.5.0, e.g. Release Candidate 1, see http://www.lyx.org/ for the
latest version.)

I can then convert the file back to 1.4.x format from 1.5.0 if I wish.
