 I have a paper written by A. Ben Jebria in 1985. When I cite it, however, the

 convince BibTeX that the surname is Ben Jebria?

 I've tried enclosing the name in {} and have also written it as Ben~Jebria.
 All to no avail.

my bibtex entry:

@Book{bjeb85,
  Author = {{B}en {J}ebria, A.},
  Title  = {A book title},
  Publisher  = {The Jewish Claim},
  year   = 1985,
}

worked well

Ah!I had it as

Author = {A. Ben Jebria}

which didn't

Author = {Ben Jebria, A.}

does. the power is in the comma, it would appear.

I've learnt something today. Thank you, Herbert.
