That worked on my system also. Thanks so much. -Mark Hi Marc, I am experiencing exactly the same problem (with exactly the same versions). For a quick work-around : do a xhost +your-machine-name, since I have no time to dig further now. Paul _ Do You Yahoo!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com

Xlib: XDM authorization key matches an existing client
I have been using lyx for a while, and have several documents with a number of .eps figures. I just upgraded to KDE 2.2 and now some of my figures won't render and I get the following error messages: Xlib: connection to :0.0 refused by server Xlib: XDM authorization key matches an existing client! Error: Couldn't find per display information GS [655] error 256 E:1 1 S:0 0 It seems to be somewhat random. Some figures will render one time and not an other time. Maybe it is a timing problem, since it seems to load more of the figures the first time I load a file. I upgraded to lyx version 1.1.6fix3 and that didn't seem to make any difference. The problem only occurs in the editing mode, when I view DVI or postscript the figures are OK. I am using SuSE Linux 7.1. -Mark Esplin _ Do You Yahoo!?
