Cursor Size in RC1?
Hi LyXers, There was some discussion of making it possible to change cursor size in LyX2.0RC1 (especially needed for Mac). Was this done? And if so, how do I do it? I have 300+ pages to edit and the one pixel cursor is making me bug- eyed ;-). Thanks! ~greg

You can find it in Tools-Preferences-Editing-Control-Cursor Width. However, you'll have to wait for RC2. Vincent

I was going to answer prev. that you should be able to change this in your window manager or desktop system, under Accessibility or somesuch category, but then looking at KDE (3.4.0) I discovered that I was wrong -- perhaps it was with Macintosh that one has a system setting for cursor size/appearance (including the insert cursor). Anyway, doesn't it make more sense to handle such system interface settings in the Desktop system. In KDE, for example, one can even adjust certain window settings for specific programs (but as far as I can see, not for the insert cursor)? -Kevin -- Kevin Pfeiffer [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tiros-Translations

Thanks Rafael Perez For Qt frontend at least, this is hard-coded in src/frontends/qt2/qscreen.C. At line 79, in member function showCursor, you could change that pretty easily: cursor_w_ = 1; To cursor_w_ = 2; You'll have to recompile LyX afterward of course ;-) Hope that helps, Abdel.
