Re: how to insert a label of a figure?

Hi all,

I have solve this problem by restart the lyx application... Then the
number shown in the Yap goes well. Thank you for your attention

However I still can not get a default 'fig:' content of the label,
which is 'cap:' now... So everytime I have to change it manually?

Please send a small example file that demonstrates the problem.

It makes no difference what the caption begins with, so just go on using
cap: for figures.

It does make a difference if you use prettyref. I just added this in
bugzilla: http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1999

how to insert a label of a figure?

2005-08-25 Thread Leon Chen
Hi,

It looks like a stupid question, actually I can do it in 1.3.5. but
the 1.3.6 seems to have some problem...

I just insert a float, and then insert the grphic, and then input the caption.

Having placed the cursor at the beginning of the title, that just
behind the famous 'figure #',
or, put the cursor at the end of the title of the figure.

Then I tried to insert a label. But the default content of it is
'cap:', but it should be 'fig:', isn't it???

Well, I type in 'fig:xxx' by hand. and I insert the cross reference
somewhere in the documents.

Now here is the problem, when I output into print version (DVI of
PDF), the reference doesn't work! It displays as '??' where it should
be the number of the figure.

Does anyone have the same problem or just me? in the user guide, there
is some inserted figure reference, which works well. but I just can
not insert it by myself. :(

Really need some help. Thank you in advance.
