Re: [M100] T102 KB and LCD cables now available
Very Interesting Birt! For the NEC PC-8300 the LCD cable is different? My Wish is to make somehow an Adapter, so the old PC-8201 LCD Modules could be connected to NEC PC-8300. As i understand, only the connector is different and PC-8300 LCD utilize 2 newer SMD ICs instead of "Thru Hole" ICs in the PC-8201 -- Kind regards / Mit freundlichen Grüßen ExPLIT IT Solutions Pawel Radomychelski -Original Message- From: bir...@soigeneris.com Reply-To: m...@bitchin100.com To: m...@bitchin100.com Subject: [M100] T102 KB and LCD cables now available Date: 05/07/23 15:45:18 As I mentioned a few weeks ago I had been hunting for replacement FFC cables for the T102 KB and LCD. Ones of the correct length and pitch are available from Mouser, but the MOQ was 1,000 pieces! After a lot more searching, I found some I could get in smaller quantities. The original cables have an extra strip of 1/8” (3mm) plastic stuck to the back side of each end to make it thick enough for the connector. After some more searching I found some self-adhesive UMHW tape and painstakingly applied it to both ends of each new cable, so they are direct replacement for the original. Of course, the problem still remains that sometimes the connectors themselves go bad and are much too tight and can damage a cable (new or old). I’ll be testing some replacement connectors in the near future. Re: [M100] Adding Gotek to T100 Disk Video Interface
No, I think it was my fault. I missed out the “ [m100dvi]” you listed at the start of the FF.CFG file on your email Josh. I’m currently making a couple of blank images now to hold saved data & basic program. Thanks again for your help! I suspect the issue may be cskew=1 which is missing from my CFG. You beat me to it! I was just setting up a git repo of the files I used and got working. https://github.com/Grimakis/Tandy-DVI-Gotek/tree/main One thing I will note, without adding a cskew=1 in my IMG file, I did not get it to work. I recently converted a DVI for Tandy collector. There was a fellow on this list (I think) who had compatible images but in the end, the collector I was doing the conversion for supplied working images on a drive. I've posted it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cfH6ro03RoDosoi5P2CNwRaErn-vftOV/view?usp=share_link The image, however, is only part of the trick: you also need lines in FF.CFG and IMG.CFG (You are running "FlashFloppy" on your Gotek, right?)
