Jeff, I happen to use the TMS9928A a lot at the moment (working on a
Colecovision Homebrew).
You probably won't need it :o) but feel free to ask if you have any
issue with the Mikrokolor's video chip or its supported video modes.

The cost is $30 per table I think. I've inquired about getting 2

I attended TASM last year and it was excellent! Got to meet a bunch of cool
people (Hi Peter!) and play with some cool machines.

This year I've arranged to give a Friday talk on Model 100-family
troubleshooting and repairs, covering how to diagnose simple(ish) issues with
the M100s and how to repair and possibly upgrade the machines. This hasn't been
officially announced or scheduled by TASM yet but I'm pretty certain it's
happening.

I would love to make this a collaborative effort and incorporate suggestions
from the list. My goal is to get a rough outline together in the next month or
two and then get feedback from folks on it. I'm more than happy to credit
individuals on the list for their input -- my goal is simply to get more
knowledge about the M100 technical details out into the world. Also, if any
list members will be attending the Friday sessions at TASM and want to help
GIVE the presentation, I doubt that the fest committee would mind as long as we
let them know soon so they can add your name to the schedule.

Finally, I would, once again, like to collaborate on an M100 display/exhibit.
Last year Randy, Peter Noeth, and I contributed displays to an M100-fam exhibit
and it was very popular. I plan to show games and application demos running on
100,102,200, and NEC-8201a, plus a Tandy WP-2 hopefully connected to a wifi
Modem and BBS if I can manage the connectivity. I'd love to have other Kyocera
machines shown (M-10, anybody?) as well as peripherals like DVI, TPDD, etc.
I'll have a REX demo and maybe even REXes to sell (depends on my schedule if I
can build a batch). If anybody wants to collaborate on the display -- or if
anybody already has a M100 display planned for TASM -- please let me know (I
haven't registered an exhibit yet).

Thanks to Randy and the entire TASM committee for putting on this great show!
Hope to meet more Model-Ters there this year.

Tandy Assembly 2019 (the third iteration!) will take place on September 27th,
28th & 29th 2019 in Springfield, Ohio.

We are very excited to announce that we are adding a day this year to Tandy
Assembly and will be offering a new Friday feature called Tandy Tech Track!!
This will be a selection of highly technical topics presented by some of the
leading figures in the Tandy Radio Shack TRS-80 vintage computing community.

Exhibitor Registration is also now open, so if you have some cool Tandy stuff
you want to show, please sign up! While we have some speakers lined up as
well, we still have openings for speakers to present interesting topics, so let
us know if you have an interest.

We are planning to have an auction again this year as well, so please plan to
bring any items you would be willing to donate to the event to offset the cost
of producing it. Any donations are much appreciated!

Finally, we would love to have you sponsor the event, if you are able to help
out. Sponsorships also help cover the costs of the show and help you advertise
your hardware, software, business or service to vintage computer community.

All the details are at

http://www.tandyassembly.com
Thank you!,

The Tandy Assembly Team
