Re: [Mac-access]: Using Your iPhone with faceTime and OS 10.10
Hi! I fixed the problem I was having where the iPhone would appear to go to sleep when trying to use it to make and receive calls with FaceTime. Actually what was happening was that the iPhone and the Mac were on 2 different Wi-Fi networks though both those networks are part of my Home Network itself, one Wi-Fi network is a 2.4GHZ transmission and the other a 5.0GHZ. To use faceTime with your iPhone both devices MUST BE explicitly on the same Wi-Fi network it seems. A useful and helpful tip I’m sure for anyone who is planning to use this method of communications. Re: [Mac-access]: Using Your iPhone with faceTime and OS 10.10
We’re talking 2 different situations, FaceTime allows full integration of your iPhone with your Mac, FaceTime has dials out through your iPhone and you hear the audio from your iPhone through your Mac etc. If you’re using FaceTime for audio and video then you may find that the quality of audio/video is far better than that offered by Skype at the moment. [Mac-access]: Private Replies To eMail
Hi! There are times when I may wish to reply to someone privately off list, how does one go about doing that? I remember moving the mosque to the senders eMail address field in the headers section of the eMail, holding down the ctrl key whilst I click the mouse and then a menu would pop up with a “Copy Address” option which would copy the senders eMail address to the Clipboard, I could then use command-r to reply to the eMail replacing the list eMail address with the senders. [Mac-access]: Replying to an iMessage
I got a text message on the phone and it also showed up on the MBA. I saw the table of conversations but what command to you use to reply to a message? I also saw compose but I assume that’s for starting a new conversation. --- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net --- To reply to this post, please address your message to mac-access@mac-access.net You can find an archive of all messages postedto the Mac-Access forum at the list's public Mail Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-access@mac-access.net/. Re: [Mac-access]: Replying to an iMessage
I have had a phone call and my Mac did not react? Are there any settings I need to make? I was told in the Apple Store that once I had iOS 8 and Yosemity I should be good to go. - Original Message - From: Juanita Martin jordmar...@suddenlink.net To: OS X iOS Accessibility mac-access@mac-access.net Sent: Thursday, October 30, 2014 12:44 AM Subject: [Mac-access]: Replying to an iMessage I got a text message on the phone and it also showed up on the MBA. Re: [Mac-access]: Replying to an iMessage
With Messages on the Mac iMessage and Text Message are 2 different things, before you can receive Text Messages you need to activate this function by filling in a verification code. [Mac-access]: FaceTime With iPhone Audio Sample
Subject line says everything pretty much. I used the Capture FaceTime feature in Audio Hijack Pro on the Mac to record this. I’m using my iPhone with FaceTime in the sample. I Dial my VoiceMail using FaceTime, FaceTime dials using the iPhone and the audio of the iPhone - through FaceTime - is output through my Headset. You hear me speaking through the microphone of the Headset when I leave a message on my VoiceMail. You’ll also hear Voiceover on the Mac in the background in parts. Anyway enjoy, I hope you find it interesting. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10565527/FaceTime%20iPhone%20Sample.mp3 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10565527/FaceTime%20iPhone%20Sample.mp3 If link doesn't work the first time then try again in a few minutes, file may still be uploading to Dropbox. ** Dane Trethowan grtd...@internode.on.net mailto:grtd...@internode.on.net Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 faceTime +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 Twitter: @grtdane --- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net --- To reply to this post, please address your message to mac-access@mac-access.net You can find an archive of all messages postedto the Mac-Access forum at the list's public Mail Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-access@mac-access.net/.
