Re: [Mac-access]: anything better than text edit out there?

2015-01-21 Thread David Griffith

I think that your initial question was in relation to text reading.
There are certainly more word processing options in Pages but for actual
reading of text and other text format documents I still prefer TextEdit
unless somebody can tell me if it is now possible to do a read all
command in a document in Pages. The last time I checked you were
restricted there to an interaction of a page at a time.

Re: [Mac-access]: anything better than text edit out there?

2015-01-20 Thread Eileen Misrahi
Hi,

I use iText Express. It's a free app in the Mac app store. This is not to say
that I don't use TextEdit at all. Because I purchased my MacBook Air just
before the iWorks suite was hree for a new purchase, I would need to purchase
Pages, which I did demo, but was not impressed at the time since I am a regular
user of MS Office. HTH.

I use iText Express. It's a free app in the Mac app store. This is not
to say that I don't use TextEdit at all. Because I purchased my MacBook
Air just before the iWorks suite was hree for a new purchase, I would
need to purchase Pages, which I did demo, but was not impressed at the
time since I am a regular user of MS Office. HTH.

Don't you have pages on the Mac? If not, you should be able to
 download it
for free, or did you get your mac before Apple started giving Mac users
pages, Numbers and Keynote for free with their macs.

As the Mac Access Dot Net administrators, we always strive to ensure that
the Mac-Access E-Mal list remains malware, spyware, Trojan, virus and
worm-free. However, this should in no way replace your own security
strategy. We assume neither liability nor responsibility should something
 unpredictable happen.
