Hi Esther Actually, I have done more reading on this today, and you’re quite correct that, had I done so earlier I could probably have saved myself, and others, quite a bit of time. So my apologies all round for that. My only excuse is, and I agree it’s probably a pretty lame one, all be it true, pressure of work. I simply don’t have the time to sit and read as much as I’s like. But on this occasion there’s no doubt that it would probably have paid dividends. Finally, I have to say that I’m now a convert to the caps lock idea. There are some occasions where it would be useful to have it, (when entering my home address for instance). But there are work-arounds. Hi all I think I’ve found out what was wrong with the PCKeyboard Hack and KeyboardRemap. They don’t live in system prefs, not here anyway. You have to manually launch them either from your applications folder or from Launchpad. Maybe once you do that, the icons go into system preferences. But that seems to be the step Eric missed in his description.
