Re: Evaluating Assistant List Controllers

2013-03-23 Thread Gordon Smith
Unfortunately we cannot discuss the issue of list controller candidates on
list. It would be unfair on those interested parties who have contacted us
privately. Suffice it to say that we have received a great response and hope
to have the issue resolved within the next 24/48 hours.

 Subject: Evaluating Assistant List Controllers

 Hello everybody

Firstly, I would like to publicly thank all of those who have, during the
past 24 hours, responded to our initial invitation to apply for list
assistant controllers positions. The response has been far more positive than
I had expected, and I am humbled by the amount of interest there is from
members to help up run the group efficiently.

Gordon and I have been mulling this one over and we believe now that it would
be best to have maybe a minimum of three controllers in different time zones
to us, as well as perhaps, one in the same time zone to cover those times
when we simply don't have the ability to monitor any longer.

I shall be contacting all of those who have so far responded to the call.
Gordon is suggesting that possibly you might like to do a short Skype or
telephone chat with him about what you see your role as and how you'd feel
you can fit in. Does anybody have any issues with that? If so, please feel
free to raise them off list when I respond to your message.

 Many thanks yet again.
 Lynne

Re: Evaluating Assistant List Controllers

2013-03-23 Thread Chris Gilland

Gordon,

If either Josh or myself implied we were wishing this to be discussed on
list, that was definitely not my intention. I was simply stating that I'd
love to talk to you and others on Skype.

I'm off to get you added to my Skype contacts now. Yesterday was a bit
hectic, and so never got around to it.

I plan to do so now. I'm gonna add your mac-access.net account.

Chris.
