RE: Help - Just upgraded to Mavericks?
Hi Matthew It appears that when the Mavericks update had completed, I heard a prompt to create a new account-which I duly obliged. Unfortunatley, when I reloaded the Mac and went into this account there were no previous VO settings and the voice had just defaulted to Daniel. My Sighted friend, deleted the new account and all was restored to the old account on Mountain lion with all the associated VO and voice settings-it was a bit of a headache!. When I now load the Mac Voice over does not load automatically and the first screen is a log in screen. Please could you tell me how to ensure VO loads at start up and how can I have the first screen to show my desk top similar to Mountain Lion without having to log in using a password? Go to system preferences. Then go to users and groups. Make sure the log in is set to your main account. There should be something there also to tell it not to require a log in password. Hope this helps.
