RE: Help - Just upgraded to Mavericks?

2014-08-01 Thread Henry Miller

Hi Matthew

It appears that when the Mavericks update had completed, I heard a prompt to
create a new account-which I duly obliged. Unfortunatley, when I reloaded
the Mac and went into this account there were no previous VO settings and
the voice had just defaulted to Daniel. My Sighted friend, deleted the new
account and all was restored to the old account on Mountain lion with all
the associated VO and voice settings-it was a bit of a headache!.

When I now load the Mac Voice over does not load automatically and the first
screen is a log in screen.

Please could you tell me how to ensure VO loads at start up and how can I
have the first screen to show my desk top similar to Mountain Lion without
having to log in using a password?

Kind regards

Henry

Hello Henry. For future reference you should be able to hit control
options
command and your left or right arrow until it says voice. you can then hit
control option command and down arrow until it says the voice you want and
there you go. You can also change a couple other things there too.

Go to system preferences. Then go to users and groups. Make sure the log in is
set to your main account. There should be something there also to tell it not
to require a log in password. Hope this helps.

Hello Henry. For future reference you should be able to hit control options
command and your left or right arrow until it says voice. you can then hit
control option command and down arrow until it says the voice you want and
there you go. You can also change a couple other things there too.

Hello Henry. For future reference you should be able to hit control options
command and your left or right arrow until it says voice. you can then hit
control option command and down arrow until it says the voice you want and
there you go. You can also change a couple other things there too.

Yes I do if you go to the voiceover utility with vo f 8.
Then go to speech with command 3.
Then vo right arrow to the voices tab and then tab to the default voice
popup menu and then press vo space bar to open the menu.

Alex should be in there.

Hi Everyone

I have just upgraded to Mavericks from Mountain Lion and appear to have

loss.

Please could someone advise on how I can restore my internet connection
and

Alex? Step by step instructions will be greatly appreciated.

Best wishes
