I also have an iMac, but opted for a trackpad instead of the included mouse.
No problem though, use the mouse to do mouse clicking. Find out how to
connect it and how to use it for those times, like these, when you need to
physically click a mouse button instead of simulating one with VO.

Turn on mouse keys under accessibility un system prefs by going to the
options button under mouse keys and checking the box that say hit option 5
times. then after that hit option 5 times when you do the extras menu and
dropbox and hit option I. I think ester c an describe this to you better
then I can since I barely know how mouse keys work.

Hi Gordon,

Yes, I did that. Unfortunately, though Dropbox was on the extras menu, I
couldn't get to it. Apparently it must be accessed by the use of Mouse
Buttons, and another list member gave me a spot on explanation of how to
accomplish this!

I haven't had a chance to tweak my preferences yet to do it, as we were away
all day, but I think I understand how to do it now.

depending on the dropbox version, you'll have to do an option click on the

holding down the option key, click the mouse on your trackpad.

Re: Dropbox Question

2013-07-13 Thread Zachary Kline
Hi Desi,
Okay, a few questions first if I may. :) Are you running Mountain Lion on your
mac, and if so which version of DropBox do you have? It might behoove you to
download the newest one, I don’t know how compatible older 1.x releases are
with version 2.
That being said, whichever version you have will stay up in the menu bar on the
right edge of the screen, near the clock and such. To access that area, the
command you want is vo-m-m. Beyond that point, things differ depending on
DropBox version. If you’re not running Mountain Lion I don’t think you’ll be
able to see DropBox up there at all. I may be misremembering when that feature
appeared, though.
Best,
Zack.

whatever you have, mouse or trackpad, hold down the option key and either
press the trackpad or execute a mouse click on the mouse. If nothing else,
you can get a simple USB mouse with right/left buttons for less than $20 at
any electronics store - it doesn't have to be an Apple mouse.

Hi Melissa, when you'd put the files in your dropbox folder, did you have the

Re: dropbox question

2013-03-22 Thread Phil Halton
Usually the iPhone is synced with iTunes, not dropbox. I don't understand
the need for dropbox to be in the equation for iPhone syncing. Anything in
the dropbox folder is automatically uploaded to the dropbox cloud - you
don't have to initiate any action, it is automatic.

should see your files. they will be on the server. to download them to your
phone double tap, then hit add to favorites. then and only then will the thing
download to yourphone.

Take care.
