how to decrypt my HD?

2014-09-02 Thread Michael Marshall
hey all,
this is not a big problem but i would like to get rid of it anyhow.
i would like to know how you decrypt your harddrive using mavericks 10.8.4 i
believe the number is.
i know that some times even in the recovery partition you cannot decrypt the
drive with disk utility.
file volt has been turned off but i just need to complete this last step.
any help would be fantastic.

thanks

Michael

Actually it does not. I used file vault with no errors. I think the apple rep
did not know what they were talking about. m finding that out more and more as
I help people witht her macs. half the time the apple reps at the apple stores
are wrong and give faulse or incorrect info.

Take care.

I would go to apple's kb and see what it says until someone else can come up
with a better idea. I really don't know as I've exhausted all the ideas I

 hey all,
this is not a big problem but i would like to get rid of it anyhow.
i would like to know how you decrypt your harddrive using mavericks
10.8.4 i believe the number is.
i know that some times even in the recovery partition you cannot
decrypt the drive with disk utility.
file volt has been turned off but i just need to complete this last
 step.
 any help would be fantastic.

 thanks
