I was wondering the same thing, because the low-battery notification on my mid-2013 Mac Book Air isn’t that accessible either. It just says “Notification Center, Image” at about 1 or 2 percent, can’t quite remember now. But I recently purchased the Battery Monitor app and it is great. It’s available for $4.99 from Marcel Bresink Software-Systeme, forget the link offhand but if you search for “Battery Monitor” on the AppleVis website you’ll find it. David Woodbridge even did a podcast about it. I haven’t gotten the Growl notifications to work, don’t know why. But it’s well worth the price. I confess that I've been following this thread pretty thoroughly, though I don't exactly understand it. Are you all saying that it doesn't notify when the battery is low? What exactly makes this battery monitor app different from going up to your menu extras, and looking at your battery percentage there? I'm so sorry for the confusion. LOL!
