I also recently discovered Dream Width Studios. It seems to be similar to WordPress in some respects, yet it also contains some Live Journal features. I don’t know if this is necessarily what you’ve been looking for, but it’s a cool site and very accessible with VoiceOver on the Mac. Check it out at http://www.dreamwidth.org , and their mobile site is m.dreamwidth.org . I don’t own an i-device, but the mobile site works well too. It seems to be a bit stripped down though.
