 I've just been trying to build the latest revision (3035) of MacRuby trunk
 on Leopard 10.5.8 by following the instructions in the README.rdoc :-

 $ svn co -r 82747 https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk llvm-
 trunk
 $ cd llvm-trunk
 $ ./configure --enable-bindings=none
 $ UNIVERSAL=1 UNIVERSAL_ARCH="i386 x86_64" ENABLE_OPTIMIZED=1 make
 $ sudo env UNIVERSAL=1 UNIVERSAL_ARCH="i386 x86_64" ENABLE_OPTIMIZED=1

 $ cd ../MacRuby
 $ rake

 I get the following error :-

 no such file to load -- libyaml (LoadError)

 Anyone got any ideas?

 Hmm, unfortunately I don't think anyone of the team is on 10.5 anymore,
 maybe Laurent can have access to one after the weekend. Anyway, it
 shouldn't even evaluate `rubygems/config_file.rb' at that point. Could you
 try to track down from where it is being loaded?

 I've added a copy of the ouput on my machine (10.6) where you can see that
 yaml doesn't even get build until the end. http://gist.github.com/239822

 i was trying to update the ruby and gem preinstalled in macos 10.5.7 by:
 sudo gem update --system

 but i am getting this:

 > sudo gem update --system
 Updating RubyGems...
 ERROR:  While executing gem ... (Gem::RemoteSourceException)
HTTP Response 403 fetching http://gems.rubyforge.org/yaml

 my gem is 1.0.1, and ruby 1.8.6 (2008-08-11 patchlevel 287) [universal-
 darwin9.0]

 I'm sorry, this is the wrong place to report a RubyGem issue related to C
 Ruby(MRI). This tracker is for MacRuby only.
 However, I believe rubyforge (the source for ruby gems) is being moved to
 gemcutter and there might be some issues in the transition.
