How to unsubscribe from a shared photo stream

2013-08-19 Thread Kevin Gibbs
guys,

I subscribed to a shared photo stream of a friend's baby pictures. However, I
now wish to unsubscribe because I wil be out of the country and can't have my
3G chewed up by receiving baby pics at all hours. How can i unsubscribe from
this shared photo stream when i am not the owner of the stream?

If anyone knows the answer, please Cc me personally at kevj...@gmail.com. I
have my e-mail settings set to no mail, and I very seldom visit this group on
the web.

thank you for your cooperation.

Best,
Kevin

PS, if possible, it would be cool to still receive these pics on my Mac if I
can do that without having them also sent to my iPhone.

thanks again.

Re: probleming reading apple developer documentation

2013-08-19 Thread Barry Hadder
It looks like they are redoing their doc pages.
Sometimes zooming in or out fixes the mouse routing problem. Also, resizing
the window some times helps. vo-shift-tilda brings up the window resize menu.

The above was the hard way and it doesn't always work. The easiest thing for
you to do for the time being is probably to download the pdf. For some reason
I don't find a button to download it on that page, but you can use this URL:
http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/iphone/conceptual/iphone101/iPhone101.pdf.

Good luck.

ABBYY fine reader express looking good

2013-08-19 Thread Phil Halton
Just purchased fine reader express tonight for $49.99 (deal good until August
25). It works really well with my Epson Perfection V33/330 flatbed scanner. It
recognizes the scanner and I can scan documents from within the app, and don't
have to use ImageCapture or another app to create scans.
Strange though, the preferences are grayed out in the menu. I guess because its
the express version, there aren't any preferences to set?
I haven't tried it yet, but I think it might be possible to scan multiple pages
from within the app. When I scanned a test page, I was given the option to
continue scanning, and I assume that meant scan more pages - I'll try it
tomorrow.
'
Just wanted to give the app a thumbs up and let you all know the app is on sale
for half off, ($49.99), and I think its worth the money.

Re: KeyRemap4MacBook, PcKeyboardHack and windows VM

2013-08-19 Thread Phil Halton
Jonathan, have you noticed the conflict i mentioned using the insert key as the
jaws modifier when using the laptop keyboard mode? Using insert+j to read prior
word doesn't work because insert+j is also the shortcut for the jaws window.
there may be other conflicts using the insert as modifier for laptop mode, but
I didn't look for them. For me, this conflict was a deal breaker and I reverted
to using caps lock as jaws modifier. have you found some way around this?
