Have a look in System preferences under Notifications, and see what you have
set for Mail. I hate Notifications so I put everything in the Not in

Cheers,

The best way is to save the document in iCloud. So if the document is already
on your Mac, just open it, and then choose Move to... from the File menu, and
then choose to save it in iCloud. Then when you open Pages on your iOS device,
you'll see that document in the file browser. Your other assumptions are

safer to go with the first option unless you want to experiment/research a

As to multiple operating systems, I don't think you can. Consider a

Make calls, use Siri through your Mac with Connect

Connect for Mac is a new app that lets you place phone calls, organize your
contacts, and even use Siri when your phone is connected to your Mac. Using
Bluetooth, Connect connects to your phone and presents a simple dial pad
with a sidebar on the left. The upper right corner of the app will display
the current signal strength and battery charge of your phone. Type a phone
number or the name of your contact to dial, though you can also initiate
calls from the contact list. You can organize your contacts, including
favorites, and view your call history.

You can also use Siri, speaking through your Mac's microphone. The audio
output will come through your Mac's speakers. However, you will not be able
to use Siri while the screen is locked if you have a password enabled,
including Touch ID for those with an iPhone 5s.

You can buy Connect from the Mac App Store right now for $2.99.

 Hello Don,

Have a look in System preferences under Notifications, and see what you have
set for Mail. I hate Notifications so I put everything in the Not in
 notifications section.

 Cheers,

 Anne

 Hi all,

I've been having an odd email problem for some time and finally getting
annoyed to the point that I'm writing to the list.

I'm using an imac with Mavericks and the email app. I have one account set
up with a bunch of folders under the inbox and have filters to set up moving
 messages into the correct folder.

The problem is that when I get mail, some messages go directly to the inbox
because I haven't set up filters to move them elsewhere. When I get a
message into the inbox vo often automatically reads it even when I'm on the
list of folders. Using classic view. I use vo j to move from the folders
list to the messages for that folder.
The automatic reading seems to only occur with messages put into the inbox
itself, but not every message is read.
I hope I've given enough information for someone to possibly suggest a
setting I could change to stop this random reading. Now I just turn down
the volume when receiving messages, but that's really not a good solution.

Anyone have an idea as to what's going on?

 Thanks,

 Don
