Syncing content

2015-06-26 Thread E.T.

Hello all,
Some months ago, I stopped syncing my iDevices with Windows and
moved the library to the Mac,

I just realized that my ringtones are not being synced to my iPhone.
The tones are in the library but they are not being synced. More than
one time, when I have done some task in iTunes, I am told this device is
synced with another computer and do I want to do it on the Mac.

What do I need to do to resolve this so it does not happen again?
And how can I get the Mac and iPhone in sync do those ringtones are
again available? Thanks.

Hey everybody. I'm still selling my mac book pro which I purchased new
in early 2014. Shoot me a message off list if interested. The buyer
will also receive a free external 250gb bus powered hard drive that
you could use as a time machine backup drive if you wish...

Specs include aluminum unibody construction, 15.4 inch retina display,
magic glass trackpad that works with voiceover, 2.0gHz quad core I7
processor with turbo boost, eight gigs of ddr3 ram, 256gb solid state
hard drive, Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 ports, yFI, bluetooth etc.
Includes charger and will come with a clean install of OSX. You can
use firewire and ethernet devices via the thunderbolt ports with a
simple and cheap adapter. I've done this with no issues.

OSX runs great on this machine as does windows seven ultimate 64 bit.
I have yet to really push this machine and that is while doing
music/audio work employing various virtual instruments, sample
playback, and effects plug ins etc...

Thanks,

Cameron.

2015-06-26 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi. I'd take $1699 via pay pal and that would include packing,
shipping, tracking, and full insurance as well as the external hard
drive to anywhere in the lower 48 states.

It's pretty much in mint condition, has no issues, and has never been
off my desk. I'm going to go for an iMac, hence the sale of the
laptop...

Thanks,

Cameron.

Hey Mark,

thanks for responding. I'm not sure why, but today the playlist finally

out a couple of times during the last week, so maybe that somehow messed up the
sync. anyway, all's well now. thanks, though.

Are you absolutely certain you are syncing your iOS devices to the correct

Also, can you try to create a short new playlist in iTunes and see if it
correctly syncs to your iOS device? If it syncs correctly, this will help
 focus on a possible cause.

 Subject: iTunes playlist woes AGAIN!!!

 Hi all,

For some reason, my iPod is retaining an older order of one of my playlists.
All the songs are there, but it insists on using an older play order. I've
checked it in iTunes on my Mac, and the order is the way I want it. I've
actually sat down with my iPod and manually arranged the songs to play in the
desired order. But the minute I hook my iPod up to my stereo, which also
means to power, it immediately reverts to the old order. I swear I'm so
tired of this, I'm honestly thinking of switching to Android, where you at
least have direct access to your music folders. Is there anything I can do
 to solve this?
 TIA,
 Donna

Updating Problem

Dear List, I hadn’t used my mac in a while and so had updates to install. I
did an update all, but after the computer restarted 10.10.3 was down as being
installed in the app store, but when I go to about this mac it tells me I’m
still running 10.10.2. Sometimes the 10.10.3 update is in both the updates
available to install section, and the updates installed in the last however
long section at the same time. More recently the app store is just busy all
the time. I have tried signing out and signing back in with no success. What
is the least labour intensive way of solving this problem? At the moment my
mac is totally unupgradable.

Many Thanks, Lee

Hi,
Try looking at this site:
http://www.apple.com/support/osx/software-updates/
http://www.apple.com/support/osx/software-updates/
There, you will find downloadable stand-alone installers for recent software
updates for OS X. These downloads are just DMG files that you open and run the
package installer just like any other installer packaged like these are. I
could be slightly wrong, so don’t quote me on that, however.
Hope this helps,

About responsiveness, at times my watch crashes for no good reason and I
have either restart it or turn Voice Over on or off. I turn the watch off
each night before I put it on charge as the watch will come back on when you
put it on the little magnetic pad.

Hi list, and particularly to those of you who have Watches,

 Two issues:

 1. I have activate on wrist-raise enabled, and speak on raise disabled. When
I raise my wrist, the screen remains off and Siri is not available. I have
to touch the screen before it activates and Siri becomes available. I would
like the screen to turn on when I raise my wrist, and Siri to therefore
become responsive to the “hey Siri” command, but I don’t want VoiceOver to
announce the time every time I raise my wrist. Does disabling the VoiceOver
speak on raise option override the activate on wrist-raise option? Have any
of you got your Watches to activate on wrist-raise without VoiceOver
 speaking?

 2. My screen is sometimes unresponsive. Occasionally it takes several taps
on the screen before it activates. Sometimes tapping and swiping around on
the screen is a little slow and unresponsive. I usually notice this when I’m
in a rush, and my impatiens usually means I stuff things up and take even
longer. Usually when I’m relaxed and patient it works well enough. I’m not
sure whether this occasional lack of responsiveness is just because it’s a
1.0 product which is relatively under powered, or if it has anything to do
with the fact that I wear it in the shower and frequently get it wet. What
have your experiences been with screen responsiveness?

 Hello Nick.

Please do not get the watch wet as Apple say that the watch is not water
