Hi,

I haven't done this in a while, but I believe that if you go to Contacts on
your Mac, navigate to the linked contact, then up to the Card menu and there
should be an unlink option in that menu.

Creating email folders and labels

2017-03-08 Thread Traci Duncan
I usually go onto the web and log into gMail to create new folders and labels,
but I was wondering can this be done in Mac mail? If so, would it be just the
same as if I had gone to gMail on the web? I want the folder and labels to
show up across the board, like my others do.

Thank you, trying to tidy up my email account. :)

Voiceover keyboard shortcut switching languages

2017-03-08 Thread Traci Duncan
Hi all,

Is there a keyboard shortcut to switch between 2 languages? I know of the
rotor, but sometimes it’s hard to understand the foreign language speak the
rotor settings.

I prefer it on iOs where the system voice, in my case English, speaks while I
go through the rotor.

Thanks,
Traci

Re: Iphone in Lost mode.

2017-03-08 Thread Tim Kilburn
Hi,

Yes, you can find it with some restrictions. The iPhone needs to be on and
connected to a network. Putting it in Lost Mode will help to restrict use of
it though as it will, I believe, lock it up as soon as connection is made.
Once you erase the phone, though, I believe that you no longer have any ability
to locate it.

Re: page up and page down on the mac

2017-03-08 Thread Jonathan Cohn
Wow, since we started talking about pageUp/PageDown, I started trying to
use it again. Usually I was using paragraph moves , read all or search
functionality. I also noticing that in both El Capitan and Siera that in
most places where vo-pageDown and vo-PageUp just beep.

Does anybody have an older system around so we could see how these behave?

Also curious if anybody has tried single modifier with PageUp/PageDown?

Best Wishes,

Jonathan Cohn

Hello Candie,

The page up and page down commands don’t appear to work in emails. However, if
you interact with the text, the other VO commands will work. With Quick Nav on,
you can set the rotor to Paragraphs and only have to press the down arrow.

Cheers,

Had. As in past tense. Think they offer a trial version. By the way if you
buy both Windows and macOS, the iOS app is free.

Hi, So I'm getting tired of forgetting passwords and am thinking

accessible with VO and also works under windows 10 with Jaws or System Access?
Thanks Jeff

Re: Looking for a Check Printing App

2017-03-08 Thread Singing Sparrow

I Would also like to know this as well.

What other programs are good for this task.

I’m looking for a Check Writing/Register app for my Mac Mini; I
currently have Checkbook Pro but it doesn’t support a check printing
feature. Can anyone offer a suggestion for an app that:

- Is predominantly accessible to a totally blind person.
- Offers a reasonably straight-forward check register.
- Can be used to print out checks.

I assume that I will require “Quickbooks Style” full sheet checks that
can readily be passed through a standard printer; that’s fine because
I already have those.

Checkbook Pro - as a check register program - is excellent but does
not support check printing. For now, I’ve been using the “Check
Printer” app on my iPhone to get checks printed, but I’d really prefer
to have an app that “does it all.” I contacted the folks at Splasm
last spring and they responded that there would be an update to
Checkbook Pro with a check printing feature this last autumn.
However, this past autumn they contacted me again to inform me that
the check printing feature would be delayed until this winter. Well,
there’s only a couple of weeks left in “this winter” and I’ve heard
nothing of the update.

I must say that Splasm has been excellent in providing VoiceOver
accessibility with Checkbook Pro, but it does not meet all my needs as
I do want an app that will let me print out checks as well as provide
a great online check register!
