Hi Bill

My husband purchased it through the local university. However, you can also
just google it and you'll find the link.
Cheers,
Donna

Re: installing Office/Word for Mac?

2018-07-26 Thread 'Donna Goodin' via MacVisionaries
Hi Jason,

I got Office Not 365. Hopefully that will contain the same accessibility
features, because I don't want something that requires a subscription.

Thanks for the installation info.
Cheers,
Donna

Re: installing Office/Word for Mac?

2018-07-26 Thread 'Jason White' via MacVisionaries
It was accessible when I used it. I installed from the Office 365 download -
that is, logged into my Office 365 account and downloaded the Mac installer. I
don't remember any problems.

The Microsoft update program is also accessible. You can configure it to update
the Office suite automatically, if you wish. If you need OneDrive, it's
obtained separately via the Mac App Store, if my memory is accurate.

Microsoft developers have been gradually improving the accessibility of Office
for Mac, so I would recommend using the latest version downloaded from Office
365. I've set up mine to use the Monthly Channel.

Re: Mission Control keeps popping up when I try to change volume

2018-07-26 Thread Steve Matzura
Not just that, but there's another section where function keys and other
shortcuts are assigned to launch things, two of which are Mission
Control and Launchpad. These should definitely be unchecked, as neither
of them is particularly useful or accessible to VoiceOver users.

Switch to the Keyboard tab and then look for F1 using the item chooser.

You want:
Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys checked checkbox

Best wishes,
