For sale: late 2018 six core I7 MacBook pro with accessories...

2019-11-13 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi everyone. Mark gave me permission to post this ad to the list. I'm
selling my beast of a macBook pro. Details below. To purchase, please
write me off list: came...@cameronstrife.com

Are you a hard core Mac user? A Windows devotee? Do you have a foot
in both worlds like I do? Then read on... For everyday computing, this
will blow you away but is not essential. If you work in audio with
Logic pro x, ProTools, Reaper, Sampletude, or are still using sonar,
this is the kind of machine you need! Do you want to load a bunch of
virtual instruments with high track counts and have effects plug ins
galore without your
machine slowing down or freezing? For the visually impaired out there,
perhaps you work with graphics, video, or are really into gaming? If
that's you, then this is what you need... She is a powerhouse!

Silver late 2018 MacBook pro. features include 15.4 inch retina
display, Intel I7 6 core processor at 2.2gHz per core with turboboost
up to 4.1gHz, 256gb solid state hard drive, 16gb ram, glass trackpad,
touch bar with touch ID, three Thunderbolt 3 ports, Radeon Pro 555X
graphics, Facetime hd camera, WiFi, bluetooth, headphone jack,
microphone, stereo speakers, etc. (And yes, the touch bar and glass
trackpad are voiceover friendly! The touch ID is also very useful.) I
will ship her with a clean install of Mac OS Mohavi.

I had a dual boot setup on this machine with mac OS on one partition
and Windows 10 pro on the other. This has worked great! It's certainly
kinder to your wallet than having an expensive Mac and an expensive pc
sitting next to it. Also, there is no bios to crash so you'll never
have to worry about your windows partition again.

Includes Apple charger, a full size keyboard that is mac and Windows
compatible, original box, and a USB hub with USB 2/3 ports and an sd
card reader etc. I am the original owner. It's in fantastic condition
and has never left my smoke free home studio.

$2099 including pay pal fees, packing, shipping, tracking, and
insurance via USPS
to the lower 48 states. Pay pal preferred. (Shipping expenses plus pay
pal fees will probably run me around $150.)

Thanks,

Cameron.

How does the Touch Bar work with windows and Boot Camp? That seems like

Yeah, and I don’t think they re -introduced the escape key for us blindies, I’m
guessing too many sighted people were accidentally touching the virtual escape
key on the Touch Bar and getting annoyed by it.

Yeah, and I don’t think they re -introduced the escape key for us blindies, I’m
guessing too many sighted people were accidentally touching the virtual escape
key on the Touch Bar and getting annoyed by it.

I just thought about one thing, VoiceOver can have different quirks depending
on the voice used and the language. Speaking of the messages App on the Mac, My
messages app on the Mac keeps telling me it has one unread message even though
I’ve checked and there are none to be found. This has only been telling me this
since I upgraded to Catalina.

Hi List,

Looking for an alternative to direct TV and the other cable alternatives.
Is an Appel Smart TV the best option for VoiceOver?
Thanks

Re: Searching in mail.

2019-11-13 Thread Ronald van Rhijn
Hi,

Don't know if its working if the search field isn’t at the Toolbar, but to
search mailboxes you need to push cmd+option+F.
That's the way I do it for as long as I know.

Under Mojave and Catalina, the only choice is redownload or open.
The menu that has the hide item is not accessible with Voiceover. Has

Delete text with VoiceOver in Catalina.

2019-11-13 Thread 'Gary Price' via MacVisionaries
Hi everyone!

I've recently upgraded to Mac OS Catalina.
I've noticed a possible serious bug with VoiceOver.
When typing text into messages for example, VoiceOver says absolutely nothing
when pressing the Backspace key.
But it worked absolutely fine in Mojave.

I've just noticed something interesting it works fine in Mail.

Has anyone on here noticed this?
I have submitted a comment to Applevis, but had no response yet.

Thanks very much, I look forward to any responses.

Printing to a hp laserjet does not work.

2019-11-13 Thread Anders Holmberg
Hi!
My friend wanted to print a very large pdf file from preview.
So we connected my Hp laserjet to the macbook air i have and the printer shws
up in the printers pain but i can’t send files to it.
The printer is turned on and the light on the printer shows a green collour.
When i check in settings the printer is idle.
The printing queue is empty.
I am thinking that it needs some drivers but i thought apple had included
drivers for most popular printers.
So any thoughts are welcome.
Thanks in advance.
