If you want to change your email subscription address to this group,
then you will need to subscribe to the group, with your new email
address, just as you did with your current email address. Then, after
receiving and accepting the group invitation, you can then unsubscribe
for the group using one of the links located at the bottom of every
group post, including this one.

RE: Looking for suggestions on changing my subscription email address?

2019-12-28 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Maurice,

Your question is unclear.

Are you asking how to change your email subscription address to an Apple
service? Or to this group?

If you want to change your email subscription address to this group, then you
will need to subscribe to the group, with your new email address, just as you
did with your current email address. Then, after receiving and accepting the
group invitation, you can then unsubscribe for the group using one of the links
located at the bottom of every group post, including this one.

2019-12-28 Thread Jessica Moss
I just recently noticed with Trillion, that I can’t seem to be able to scroll
through a conversation anymore, and now have also found that my on line
contacts aren’t displaying anymore. So at this point, the only option I have,
is to collapse the whole row which hides all my contacts, or press space bar to
expand it, which shows every last one of my contacts, but no status info.
Has anyone had this issue, and if so, how have you been able to correct it?

Re: Reading from VO Cursor to End

2019-12-28 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

Sorry, I stand corrected. Yes, Brad, that is indeed the proper key
combination. I suggested the wrong one. VO-f2 reads the title of the window
in the current application.

I use VO + F2 to read the title of the current window within the active
application.

Hi,

To read the title of a windows, press VO-w. To read a dialog, use VO-a, or any
other VO reading commands such as VO-right/left/up/down. You can also set the
system to automatically read dialogs if you prefer. This can be set either
through VO Utility or the MacOS can do it from within System Preferences,
Accessibility, Speech.

System going random busy since last OS upgrade

2019-12-28 Thread Eric Oyen
Hello everyone,

I find myself in an increasingly frustrating situation. I have been
encountering random busy applications and the problem appears to be getting
worse with time. It would start with one application, and then spread to any
others open on the desktop and then the entire system would go busy, causing
even the VoiceOver screen reader to lock up for a period of time. This problem
has been an increasing factor in my frustration since upgrading to Catalina.
Are there any work arounds or resolutions for this? I have repeatedly sent bug
reports to apple’s developer corps and have seen no response. Solutions and
suggestions greatly appreciated.

-Eric

Re: Reading from VO Cursor to End

2019-12-28 Thread Brad Snyder
VO + W reads the item in the VO cursor, which may or may not be the title of
the current window.
I use VO + F2 to read the title of the current window within the active
application.

Re: Skype for Mac is Dreadful

2019-12-28 Thread 'Kawal Gucukoglu' via MacVisionaries
I’m sticking to Audio Face time if I can help it. But companies want to use
Skype and if you are looking for work, and you do a job, you have to use Skype.
I just got the hang of Windows Skype, but the Mac Skype, no thanks.

Reading from VO Cursor to End

2019-12-28 Thread Dave Carlson

Okay, I forgot. I know read all is VO+A. But sometimes that command
automatically jumps to the top of a document and reads the entire thing. How do
I read from my current VO position to the end of a document?

Re: Questions about the find feature and a Safari bug in Catalina

2019-12-28 Thread Dave Carlson
Brianna,
The issue with Safari I have had with Mojave, as well. In Safari preferences,
look for s related to having the mouse follow the VO cursor. I believe it was
turning that feature off that kept me from getting stuck in the reviews section.

Questions about the find feature and a Safari bug in Catalina

2019-12-28 Thread Brianna Snyder
Hi everyone,

I just upgraded to Catalina, and while the experience isn't bad overall, I'm
wondering if you guys could help me out with two things.

I'm noticing that whenever I search for a word, it'll take me to the text where
that word is located, as normal. However, when I use the command to find the
next instance of the word, it'll simply take me to the precise spot in the
piece of text where the first word is located. I'm sure it's supposed to be
considered helpful, but when I have to press the find next command twice just
to go to the next instance of a word, it gets annoying. Is this supposed to be
a feature, or can I change this behavior?

As to the bug I mentioned in the subject line, I'm noticing something very
annoying in Safari. I use GoodReads a lot, and to quickly find the reviews
section, I'll search for the word "rated". The problem is, it gets stuck in the
first review on the page. No matter how much I use right arrow, it just stays
in that section. However, if I go to the heading below the reviews and navigate
left, it works just fine.

That in conjuction with how the find feature is working is getting a bit
annoying. So...does anyone have advice on how I can change this? I'd really
appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
Brianna

Skype for Mac is Dreadful

2019-12-28 Thread 'Kawal Gucukoglu' via MacVisionaries
I downloaded Skype for Mac just in case someone had to call me on it and it’s
dreadful. The buttons are not labelled.

No idea why Microsoft do not sort it out as it’s been dreadful for years.

Hi,

Creating a six digit pass-code is accomplished in Settings, Face-ID &
Pass-Code. Beyond that, just try to enable it and it will prompt you for any
further needs.

still are. It is one of the best apps I’ve ever invested in, Second only to

Hey Sarai. Is it possible that you have emergency bypass on for your contacts?
With Emergency Bypass on, Any calls or text messages from contacts who you've
set it up to work with will bypass the mute setting. Hope that helps and hope
everybody had a merry Christmas.
