backblaze

2020-03-19 Thread jean parker
Hello All:

Thank you for the responses to my question but I am still having trouble with
choosing the disk drive to back up. In the settings of Backblaze you can choose
which disk drives to back up. When I interact with the table where they are
listed, I get an error message saying that I can’t exclude my computer hard
drive. No other parts of this table appear to be accessible. When I look at the
number of files that have already been backed up it doesn’t seem to match the
number of files on my drives.

I have given it full disk access through the security settings on my Mac but
nothing has changed. If someone could walk me through this process either on or
off list I would be most appreciative.

You are correct in that it will not be bootable when just copied over. Sorry,
making a MacOS installer bootable works for me, but Linux is a different

some searching around and found some directions which require converting the
iso file first, but is there an easier way to do this either with a GUI program
or through something like DD for example? If anyone has any idea it would be
greatly helpful.

Thanks.

Re: Hard Drive Buffering

2020-03-19 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

I also found it easier to use the remote when the rotor is set to "Follow
Focus". Seems more logical. There are a few times when trying to read
specific items that I needed to change the rotor to Characters or Words, but
Follow Focus worked best for me.

Later...

Ues still using the 3rd. I just got a 4k but find I need to get used to the
touch panel on the Siri remote. And the layout too is different.
I should set some time aside to work this out.

Writing .iso images to a usb thumb drive in cattleina is this possible?

2020-03-19 Thread matthew dyer
Hi all,

Hope someone can help me with this one since I have looked online for an answer
but have not found anything that would help. I am trying to find a way to
write an iso file to a usb thumb drive that would work with 10.15.3. I did
some searching around and found some directions which require converting the
iso file first, but is there an easier way to do this either with a GUI program
or through something like DD for example? If anyone has any idea it would be
greatly helpful.

Thanks.

Matthew
