Amadeus Pro Question

2020-09-02 Thread 'Danny Keys' via MacVisionaries
Hi folks,
I am considering amadeus pro.
I am using it during its trial period.
Here’s my question.
I have recorded a sound file, a voice file. Now, I wish to add a bit somewhere
in the middle. As a VoiceOver user, how would I do this with the keyboard?

Thanks.

New version of VMWare?

2020-09-02 Thread 'Kawal Gucukoglu' via MacVisionaries
Does anyone know when a new version of Fusion for Windows virtual machine for
the Mac is coming out? Always handy to have a backup in case something goes
wrong with a windows tablet which has no screen!

Re: Some issues with my IMac 2020 if someone can give me some help please.

2020-09-02 Thread 'Kawal Gucukoglu' via MacVisionaries
I tried to pair it through the VO utility. But the pairing keeps timing out.
This is on the Focus 14 and 40. I will get in touch with Accessability
tomorrow.

Re: Migration Utility details

2020-09-02 Thread Jonathan Cohn
Hello,
I have always used my TimeMachine backup when doing migrations. If you first
set up the machine and then transfer files and applications, you will end up
with two accounts, one that is created on system first being opened and one
copied over from your old computer. In terms of picking and choosing what to
migrate, I have sometimes seen these options and sometimes not. Generally, you
can pick which users and sometimes which applications to migrate (it transfers
over licenses which is great).
If all you are interested in is your iTunes library, I would suggest moving
that to an external disk unless you trust iTunes just to do everything right
for you over the cloud.

Migration Utility details

2020-09-02 Thread Traci Duncan
Hi all, I’ve been reading up on migration utility and have some questions.

There is a lot on my old Mac I don’t want on the new. Does the migration
utility let me pick and choose? For the most part, it is my iTunes library I
care about the most, but maybe there are some settings I’m not thinking about.

I will be going from High Sierra to the latest OS, could this cause migration
issues?

Lastly, is it better to purchase a thunderbolt cable instead of relying on my
Wifi? The two machines side by side.

Oops, really lastly, I’d kind of like to look around the new Mac before
migrating. Does this complicate things for migrating later?

Thanks all,
Traci

Orbit Reader with Mac?

2020-09-02 Thread 'Catherine Turner' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

Is anyone using the Orbit Reader 20 braille display with Mac? I've
got the Orbit working fine with my iphone but can't get it to work
with Mac. I'm using OS 10.11.6 and according to the Orbit manual it
should work with 10.11. I've tried USB and bluetooth, and I've tried
it in emulation mode for the Refreshabraille 18 but not working at
all. Is anyone here using the Orbit with a Mac and what version of OS
are you on, or has anyone any ideas?

Thanks,
Catherine

Hi There.

I am having some trouble with my new IMac Mid 20 because I can’t find some
settings whilst setting up.

This wasn’t the case when I had the MacBook Pro 2015 nor was it when I set up
my last IMac which I recently got rid of.

Anyway, I can still do this using I O S so I must be missing a step.

Usually, I wish to send emails from my alias as I have about 5 of these but
only use two.

When I go in to the IMac Accounts menu and try to choose the from field so that
you can choose which account you send your message from the from field isn’t
there so you have the bcc field, high priority field and CC field but I can’t
find the from field.

If anyone can tell me how to get to it then I can send messages to my lists
that I am using my aliases on. So if I create a new message, I have a BCC
field, CC Field, High priority field but not a from field.

I am also trying to set up my Braille display using Bluetooth but it’s timing
out very quickly. I have made sure that my software on my Braille display is
up-to-date.

I hope that Big Seur will get me a chime for my IMac.

Thanks.

Kawal.
