1.  Go to system Preferences > Internet Accounts.
2.  Select iCloud as the new account type.
3.  SignIn to the iCloud account using the AppleID and password for the account.
4.  Select Mail, and any other account services you wish to activate for the 
new iCloud account.
5.  Open the Mail app, and you should see the new account listed in the 
Mailboxes table.

Ssh works just fine in terminal with all the usual configuration as in linux; 
terminal is a flavor of unix.
