RE: apple wallet and apple card help

2021-10-18 Thread sarai.bucciarelli
Nope.. so to resolve this.. you have to close the credit card account with the
bank, then re-apply under the Apple id you want to use. BTw its best to use
your iCloud ID for the Apple card.

I go to apple wallet. Add card and the apple card wants me to apply with my

did I screw up and should have set the account associated with the new credit
card to the iCloud account?

Re: Problem ending a workout on Apple Watch

2021-10-18 Thread Robin Frost

Hi Paul,

I know exactly what you are experiencing.  I find that once I flick to
page 1 exploring around the upper part of the watch screen gets me to
the pause and end workout area but if I touch the lower part of the
screen I more times than not run into the music starting and stopping
stuff with which I do not want to deal. Perhaps that'll help.

Take good care.

Robin

Hello,
I am running Watch OS 8.0.1 on my Apple Watch SE.

I have problems ending a workout such as Outdoor Walk or Core Exercise. Before
upgrading to Watch OS 8 when I had finished the workout I used to go to the
appropriate workout and flick down to get to page 1 and then double tap the end
button. That resulted in a summary of the workout showing duration, average
heart rate, calories and so on. I then pressed the done button to get back to
the watch face.

Since upgrading to Watch OS 8 I can no longer reliably get to the page where I
can end the workout. Instead flicking down gets to a page about playing the
next music track which does not work because the watch is not set up to play
music. Note that I do not want to play any music anywhere during the workout. I
do not know why the workout now wants to play music.

Any thoughts on why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?

Many thanks … Paul Hopewell

Re: Problem ending a workout on Apple Watch

2021-10-18 Thread Jonathan Cohn
Yes, I have noticed this too when stopping my workouts. It seems if I flick
right it moves me to the third screen, but I am not sure exactly what has
happened to cause it. Just going to the bottom of the now playing screen and
flicking up twice gets me back to the first screen. I like that pressing both
buttons causes a pause, that is a new one for me!

Best wishes,

The RC came out, so I took the plunge. Sorry to say that the problems are still
there.

If you use Books and run into this bug, however infrequently, please let Apple
know so they’ll be more inclined to fix for the next point-version. I don’t
know about you, but I’m foolish enough to live by iBooks.

Re: Problem ending a workout on Apple Watch

2021-10-18 Thread Gabe Griffith
Hi,

There are generally 3 pages to the workout. Page one has the pause or end etc,
page two is your active workout stats, and page 3 is music options. It sounds
like maybe your flicking to page 3 instead of to page 1. Try flicking the
opposite direction and see if that gets you where you want to be. You can also
press both buttons on the front of the watch to pause the workout while you're
getting to that first page where you can end it.

I can not find Edit-button in iPad?

2021-10-18 Thread Fazil
Hi, Group.

When I type a web-address in address-bar in iPad Mini, I can not find
Edit-button there in typing like I do in iPhone. Where should I look for an
'Edit-Button,', please?

Thanks!

Re: Problem ending a workout on Apple Watch

2021-10-18 Thread Mary Otten
Hi Paul,
I have the same as you, but I use Siri to start and stop workouts. Generally it
works like a charm. Sometimes, Siri can’t do a connection or some dumb thing,
but if I repeat what I want, it generally works. And despite the occasional
missed connection with Siri, I think this is faster than flicking around as you
described. Hope that helps.

Exercising My MacBook Battery

2021-10-18 Thread Dave Carlson
A couple weeks ago the topic of leaving a Mac laptop plugged in came up. I had
to admit I’ve never thought about it, but kept mine always connected to ac
power, exceppt on those rare occasions when taking it on a trip.

So I connected my MacBook power block to a 24-hour mechanical timer. I have it
set to keep power off for 8 hours on, 8 hours off, and then a couple other
smaller increments over a 24-hour period. So now my MacBook gets to run with
and without battery during every day.

Problem ending a workout on Apple Watch

2021-10-18 Thread Paul Hopewell
Hello,
I am running Watch OS 8.0.1 on my Apple Watch SE.

Re: Question about passwords

2021-10-18 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

Yes, these are just additional security conditions. I believe that the
verification code item is something that you can add yourself. That is, if you
want the additional layer of protection of requiring a verification code for
that password, you can add it yourself.
