Re: Ms Word and comments/track changes

2021-12-09 Thread 'ja...@jasonjgw.net' via MacVisionaries
When I last tried this (and it wasn’t recently – probably before buying my
M1-based Mac), VoiceOver did identify comments in the text as annotations (“has
comment”, if I remember rightly).
However, it wasn’t possible to navigate to the comment and then return to the
place in the text to which the comment was attached. I think this is an issue
to take up with Microsoft.

I should note that I’m only an occasional Microsoft Word user (on Mac OS or
Windows). Most of my writing is in LaTeX, Markdown, or HTML – prepared in a
text editor. That’s where my serious writing is done.

Subject: Ms Word and comments/track changes
I am also interested in this thread. I find 2 problems:
1. Although I can make the comments appear I can not reliably move back and
forth between the comment and the exact place in the text to which the comment
applies with voiceover.
2. My understanding is that voiceover is supposed to indicate places in a
document where there is a track change by saying anotation. I can not get mine
to do that.

Any help with these two questions would be appreciated.

Re: Anyone ever had WIFI go bad on a HomePod?

2021-12-09 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

No, never seen that yet, and hope I never have to deal with it. I suggest that
you reset it, then before you start the setup process, unplug it for at least 5
minutes. Then start the setup process once again. Sometimes, it needs to
totally power down to properly reset all components.

Hi,

They are perfectly accessible, and you can definitely use them across any
browser that supports Google Apps. I prefer using Apple’s
Pages/Keynote/Numbers most of the time as I can collaborate within the app
itself instead of a web-based version.

Volume vary low when using bluetooth on the Mac.

2021-12-09 Thread Jessica Moss
I’m not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but I’ve just recently
noticed, when connecting several different bluetooth speakers I own to my Mac,
I can max the volume on my computer as well as the speaker itself, and the
sound level is barely audible. I’m unfortunately not seeing a setting anywhere
in bluetooth preferences that will change this, so I’m really baffled as to how
this suddenly happened.
Is anyone else battling this as well?

How are they compared to MS Office or Apple iWork apps or Libre Office for

Also, I'm using Office 365. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Re: Utilizing comments in Word

2021-12-09 Thread Barbara Hollick
Unfortunately, no, VO plus left arrow does take me back to the original
document. However it moves to the beginning of the document, not the exact
spot where the comment is. So far I have been counting the comments and
then moving back and forth but was trying to find a more efficient way.
Thanks to all for the responses, greatly appreciated!

Accessibility of Google Apps (docs, sheets and slides)

2021-12-09 Thread Muhammad Fayed
Hi,

Hope my mail finds you well,

I would like to know whether it is possible to use Google Apps of Docs, Slides
and Sheets across Mac, Windows, iOS and Linux.

How are they compared to MS Office or Apple iWork apps or Libre Office for
linux?

Thank you so much,

Regards,

Mohamed E. Fayed
