Re: Eloquence on Ventura

2022-10-24 Thread 'Mary Ward' via MacVisionaries
No, but you do have to go into the table, I mean interact with it. You go into
the utility like before. Select speech in the VoiceOver utility. Then VO to
the right till you see the table that says customize language list. You have
to interact with that table. There is a popup button that you have to VO space
on. The Eloquence voices are in an Eloquence submenu. Let me know if this is
not enough information. Mine came up speaking South African and doing it very
fast, which made it harder than usual for me to fix. The trick was to calm
down and slow down. Good luck.

You can definitely get it with the speech menu. Do a VO Command Left or Right
Arrow to get to voices and VO Command Up or down to go through the list.

ring app issues

2022-10-24 Thread sarai.bucciarelli
Hi all:

I'm running iOS 15.7 with Ring app version 5.54.0. I'm having no issues with
Ring and Voiceover.

A friend has iOS 16.1, and ever since iOS 16 his Ring app, same version will
not read anything but the hamburger menu with Voiceover. He's Reinstalled
the Ring app. We are trying to figure out if this is on Apple's end or
Ring's.? I'm suspecting Apple.

Did we lose Alex with the Ventura update? I noticed after updating, that
Voiceover defaulted to the Samantha voice, and Alex seems to no longer be in

Hello,
I just got done updating my 14 inch macbook pro and I am loving it so far. My
favorite feature is eloquence. I am also noticing that voiceover seems to be a
bit snappier with this update. I am also noticing improvements in safari as
well.

Strange how are you navigating? For me if I go to the conversation group and
interact then turn on quicknav just using the arrows I am not having that
issue. Then when I want to select a message I use VO plus space.

Just updated and I’m already confounded by the messages app. When I go to a
different conversation, it tells me two conversations selected. I do love the
responsiveness of of Ventura. System settings is interesting with not having to
unlock.

MacOs Ventura is Out.

2022-10-24 Thread Anders Holmberg
Hi!
For those of you who can update to Ventura I have just found out that macOS
Ventura is out.
So i am now updating my new M1 Mac mini.
My old MacBook Air can not update as its from 2015.
But it has a programUpdate to Monterey 12.6.1.
Which I don’t care for as I will try to sell it.
