Re: Taking Screen Shot in iPhone12?

At the same time, press both the volume up button, and the Side/Power button.
You should hear your iPhone make a shutter click sound, and VO should say
“Screen Shot”.
You will find the screen shot in your photo library.

Re: Command-one for Inbox?

2022-11-02 Thread Bradford Snyder
I have done this before. It is a little tricky, but try doing the following to
restore the All Inboxes item to your Favorites Mailboxes list:

1. Using VoiceOver navigation, navigate to your Mailboxes table, and interact.
2. Using VO + LeftArrow, navigate to the Favorites heading label at the top of
the Mailboxes table. You should hear VoiceOver say something like “Favorites,
expanded. 6 items enclosed. level 1.”
3. Now, route your mouse arrow to the location of the VO cursor, using VO +
CMD + F5, and then press VO + Shift + Spacebar to initiate a mouse click on the
Favorites heading label.
4. Now, press VO + Shift + DownArrow to interact with the Favorites heading
label, and then use VO + RightArrow to locate the Add button, and press VO +
Spacebar, to select this item, and open the Add Favorites dialog.
5. Navigate to the Mailbox to Add: pop up button, and press VO + Spacebar to
open the pop-up list. You should find All Inboxes at the top of the list.
Press VO + Spacebar to select.
6. Navigate to the OK button, and press VO + Spacebar, and you are done.

HTH.

Hi all,
I’ve got a late 2014 Mac mini and am still on Montery. Some time ago, I did

So now, command 1 gives me all drafts, Command 2 gives me all Sent, etc. I have
two mail accounts, and have favorites for each one separately, but I’d really
love to get the All Inboxes back if possible. Does anyone know how to do this

reminded me about it so thought I’d ask.

Re: Is there any way to set my phone so that the lock button hangs up phone calls?

2022-11-02 Thread Shai
Hello,
This feature has not worked for me since the release of iOS 16. It was
indicated to Apple Accessibility and I was hoping that the feature
would be fixed so that it did work.
This feature does not seem to work for me on either an iPhone10-r or
iPhone13 pro.

I am taking the current iBugtoday class. It is almost like a college class, no

Re: Installing windows on a Mac.

2022-11-02 Thread Mike Arrigo
On Apple Silicon macs, the only way to run Windows is to use Parallels, and
unfortunately that software is completely inaccessible with Voiceover. Also you
would need to run Windows for Arm processors which at this time is basically in
beta, also not sure whether any of the screen readers would work with it. If
you have an Apple silicon Mac, you would be better off getting a separate PC.

Re: Mac Classess On YouTube Last November?

2022-11-02 Thread Mohammad Fazil
No, he is not Mr. Panarese.
He announced the class schedule every week and conducted a live cession and
then put the video there. Mr Panarese also attended a couple cessions as guest.
Those classes continued for several weeks.

I am taking the current iBugtoday class. It is almost like a college class, no
grading, but there are review questions and sessions. I don’t think either of
these are the ones you are asking about, but they are very good. I have heard

that to be true, especially not these days.

Level 4, Exchange, Expanded, One Item Enclosed

2022-11-02 Thread Fazil M.
Hi, Group.

What does the following mean:

"Level 4, Exchange, Expanded, One Item Enclosed".

When I go to Mailbox table, interacted with it, press VO-right-arrow,
voiceover says the line quoted above.

Does it mean that there is some sort of hierarchy or multy-level
arrangement?

Thanks!

Thanks much! When you say 'o plus right arrow', you mean VO+right arrow?

Thanks!

Re: Voiceover Utility Settings

2022-11-02 Thread 'E.T.' via MacVisionaries
Yes. I looked at those menu options so did an export then reset
the basic settings. This time I only focused on the speaking rate but am
still hearing Alex using two rates depending on the elements being
spoken. Will have to play with this some more.

Hi!
It seems thebluetooth range is less on the new Mac mini than the old MacBook
Air.
The AirPods Max I have does not work properly in the kitchen since I changed
Mac.
I actually have the new Mac exactly at the same place but has had issue with
bluetooth range.
This is a disappointment since have a very good experience with the sound
quality on the Mac when the headphones are in reach.

Re: Command-one for Inbox?

2022-11-02 Thread Janet Ingber
When you are in the mailbox list, below All Inboxes are the individual
mailboxes for each account. Select the one you want and use VO-J to get to the
messages table. You can also use VO-Right Arow, but it will require several
presses.

Hope this helps.

VMware Fusion and Login Items

2022-11-02 Thread 'E.T.' via MacVisionaries
This question is for anyone who is running VMware Fusion under
Ventura. That app is not in the login items list relating to background
checks. When I launch the app, I always get a notification that suggests
I can enable this which I do not want.

The app appears in the list and I toggle it to 'no'. Makes no
difference. I haven't found any setting that might resolve this. Any
ideas? Thanks much.

Re: Command-one for Inbox?

2022-11-02 Thread Pete De Vasto
Hi all,
I’ve got a late 2014 Mac mini and am still on Montery. Some time ago, I did
something that caused “All Inboxes” to be removed from my Mail favorites bar.
So now, command 1 gives me all drafts, Command 2 gives me all Sent, etc. I have
two mail accounts, and have favorites for each one separately, but I’d really
love to get the All Inboxes back if possible. Does anyone know how to do this
in Monterey? I seem to remember trying to get it back when it happened, but
again that was a while ago and I don’t remember what I tried to do. This thread
reminded me about it so thought I’d ask.
Thanks,
Pete De Vasto

2022-11-02 Thread Jessica Moss
Ok, how short of a time can I do this without purchasing a license, and where
can I find a step-by-step guide to do this with Voiceover?

Re: Installing windows on a Mac.

2022-11-02 Thread 'Robert Cole' via MacVisionaries
Hi,
You can install windows 10 using Boot Camp.
You do not need to purchase a windows license.
It will install without it, allowing you
To add it later.
And if you only need windows for a short time, It should be OK. And if you can,
just use NVDA, or a 40 minute demo of Jaws.

This is a 2017 MacBook I would be attempting this on, and I unfortunately can’t
afford anything additional at this point, sense my last few paychecks have been
extremely slim. So just as I suspected, this may be something I’ll have to run
by my supervisor, and we’ll need to find something different for me to do in

Provided you have an Intel Mac, you can use Bootcamp. Unfortunately, you will
have to purchase Windows and I don’t know the cost. It may not be so bad though
as you will need Windows 10. M1 Mac you will need a completely different set up

I didn’t think I’d ever see myself doing this, sense getting my first Mac, I’d

result, I have a couple of questions.
First of all, how much is it going to cost to do this, and second, (if I just

Transfer Only Part of a User Account?

2022-11-02 Thread Brandon Olivares
I’m getting a new MacBook Pro tomorrow and want to know if there’s a way to
transfer only part of a user account?

When I got this computer, my Documents folder was accidentally deleted and
really messed up my configuration. I wanted to make sure I could start with a
proper configuration on the new MacBook Pro and just transfer over things like
my applications, settings, etc.

Is this possible somehow?

Thanks,
Brandon

Hi all,

So I currently have VO set to run at the login screen and after login. Will

Thanks,
Donna
