a most piculiar tae and tool bar problem

2022-11-14 Thread Raymond Foret Jr
OK I am going to put this down to just me not knowing what I am doing in
Ventura.

It used to be that when I was navigating in System Settings, I could navigate
the table on the left with VO up and down, and then stop interacting with the
table and move to the table to the right of the item that I stop focusing on on
the left table would be selected. But today, I can't do that. Something I did
change that so that I cannot navigate it that way at all but I have to press
the item I want on the table to the left of the old space before it gets
selected in the table on the right.

Also, tool bars are a problem I don't seem to need to interact with them, but I
can't get out of them without pressing VO right again and again until I’m
focused on gthe first item after the tool bar. Can anybody familiar with this
new operating system advise me what settings to look at and change?

Thanks in advance.

 ScenturaSincerely,
The Constantly Barefooted Ray

Backing Up Mac on External Drive?

2022-11-14 Thread Mohammad Fazil
Hi, Group.
I have ordered a 2TB external drive for backing up my Mac today but I have
never done that before. I’d be doing it for the first time when the drive
arrives.
May I know how should I be doing this, please?
Thanks!

RE: Does anyone understand the volume High notification on iPhone home-screen?

2022-11-14 Thread pdevasto0219
Donna,

It exclusively has to do with headphone audio volume, so no matter how you set
the speaker volume, that doesn’t make any difference. Assuming you’re on iOS
16, Go to Settings > Sounds and Haptics, and double-tap the Headphone Safety
button. iPhone has a way to tell if you’ve had headphone audio too loud, that’s
why you get any warnings. You can, in fact, change iPhone’s way of thinking, I
remember doing it once a long time ago but don’t remember exactly. I think it’s
somewhere in the Health app. Maybe someone can chime in to take it the rest of
the way.

Thanks,

Pete De Vasto

So I read something that suggests that it has to do with the total time you are
listening to audio input, and that once you reach a certain amount of time, the

pretty much constantly, but almost never through headphones. Also, the music
is usually in the background, so my volume is generally set to about 25%,
sometimes less if I’m on the phone. And the only setting I found was for
headphone safety, which I had already set to off. It makes absolutely no sense
