Also, be sure you are running the latest MacOS release, which at the
moment is 14.3.1. Check Apple's hardware compatibility list of supported
braille displays, and if your device is not included, contact Apple
Accessibility.

My braille displays are fully supported, so I don't have these problems.

RE: attaching a Zoomax e-reader to a Mac as a braille display

2024-02-11 Thread Jessica Barr
It wouldn't hurt to contact whoever is in charge of distributing the eReader
and troubleshooting problems. My state has the Zoomax also, but I've heard
things about it that make me hesitant to request one. Good luck.

Subject: attaching a Zoomax e-reader to a Mac as a braille display

I've been trying to get my Zoomax and my Mac to see each other. Once my Mac saw
it as another keyboard and several times my Mac complained that the disc hadn't
been ejected properly when I disconnected them but never once was a braille
display detected in the vo utility.what might be going on here? is there
somebody at the State library I can write to about this?
thanks.

Re: VMware Fusion/Player

2024-02-11 Thread 'Matt Turner' via MacVisionaries
I get this when I try to install windows 11.
Check your Startup Disk in the virtual machine settings. If you have not
installed an operating system yet, you can choose an installation disc or disc
image in the CD/DVD settings and restart the virtual machine.
I’m on an Intel mac.

 Vocr is very very tedious.
So I rather not use any virtual machine.
I will try to find a refurbished laptop that I can install linux onto or
