Hi!
Ok, thanks for that.
I mostly use the iPhone for such thing.
But its very cool to ask Siri to play a radiostation and she most of the time
does it.

Re: anchor power bank A1647

2024-05-08 Thread Brad Snyder
I just looked it up, and played a couple of YouTube videos on this power bank.
Sounds like the USB-C cable is built into the charger.
If your iPhone is not a 15/15 Pro, and does not charge via USB-C, you will need
to use the cable that came with your iPhone. It sounds like the battery pack
has places to plug-in a charging cable

That is not the issue. I suspect when the screen on the Mac broke a
month ago, something got corrupted.Am back in a new install of Ventura
and will stay out of Sonoma.

Things look better in the mail app in Ventura and will go back into
it later and finish sigs and rules.

The AT Yahoo account is my primary email account, and the only one for which
I have created signatures.
I have 2 Macs, a Mac studio and a MacBook Pro.
In order to use signatures, I have to create them on each Mac, and then those
signatures can only be used on the Mac on which they were created, and only in
the account for which they were created.
On each Mac, I can go to Mail Settings > Signatures, and in the Signatures
table, under All Signatures, I can see all signatures created on both of my Macs,
but can only use signatures created on the Mac on which a signature was created,
in the account in which it was created.
I have been using a Mac since 2013, and have had 2 Macs since 2014, and this
how signatures have worked all along.
I have just learned to accept that this is just how it is.

Re using the display on the top of the Mini:

First, you won’t need to do that very often, because you can do just about
everything using Siri and/or your I-device.

Second, to use it easily, orient it so that the chord is directly in back of
you, e.g. from you, to the speaker to the chord is a straight line. Now, the
play/pause button is in the center, and the increase/decrease volume buttons
are on the right and left respectively. Now you can turn the volume up by
tapping the right side of the speaker, and down by tapping the left.

HomePod mini not what I've expected but..

2024-05-08 Thread Anders Holmberg
Hi!
So I have finally set up my HomePod mini.
For me things went quite smooth and easy but there are things I didn’t expected.
I thought they would look like any speaker you get on the market but they are
not.
They look like two balls with a flat top.
Not what I had expected.
THey didn’t have any batteries either which to me was a bit of a drawback but
now I have have them and they won’t go back to apple because the sound is quite
ok and the functionality is something I really like.
One thing which was cool was the indoor temperature functionality and the
humidity functionality.
But for being that small the sound is quite great even though the stereo
spreading from a pair could be better.
Maybe I have missed something but I don’t think so.
The display on the top works with VOiceOver but since its round and not
rectangular its a bit tricky to use at least for me.
But I guess that’s a learning curve.
