It really sounds like Quick Nav has been enabled. Try pressing the left and 
right arrows at the same time. If VoiceOver says, "Quick Nav off", you should 
be back to normal. If it says, "Quick Nav on", press the two keys again to turn 
it back off and let us know that this wasn't the issue.

problems navigating in mail and the menu bar

Hello all

After installing yesterday's updates, I'm encountering a couple of strange
issues.

In mail, once I have navigated in to the inbox I need and interacted with
it, I find that I cannot up or down arrow through the list of emails. The
Focus keeps jumping in to a search box.

I have heard some reports that updating to iOS 11.2.6 removes the battery 
indicator for some users.  I do not know if this issue refers to merely the 
visual indicator or not.  

It may be that, regardless of the visual icon, VoiceOver may continue to read 
the battery level indicator.

So, if you have a non-iPhone 10, and you have already updated to iOS 11.2.6, 
please let us know your experience as I do not plan to update until I can 
confirm that this battery bug does not apply to VoiceOver users.

Please be sure to include which iPhone you are using.

As far as I know, what you are experiencing is unique to your device.  

It may be helpful to conduct some test calls to determine what happens 
immediately after a reboot of the phone, making certain to clear any apps from 
the App-Switcher.  

It has been my experience that, regardless of what Apple purports, certain apps 
can definitely impede call quality.

Using FaceTime for calls on the mack

Hi all
Think I am going a little mad. I use to be able to use FaceTime to make 
FaceTime calls on the mack and thought I had configured it to present my mobile 
number. I tried to use FaceTime on the Mac atoday nd it tells me that FaceTime 
is not configured to use my iPhone for FaceTime calls.
I looked up goole to see how to set it up again.
It says to open the FaceTime app and go to the menu bar and preferences. The 
thing is there is no menu bar that I can see in the FaceTime app.
I also can not seem to find any system preferences for this application. What 
am I missing.
Hoping someone can enlighten me.

 But does VLC let you play flash  videos?
I use vlc on both windows and mac pretty much for everything.

Adobe flash is not accessible on the mac, and it's unlikely that this will be 
improved since Flash is a dying breed. Best thing to do is contact the web site 
and ask them to switch to HTML 5 and move away from relying on flash.

 Yes I set mine up to day and it is very straight for ward And quick when you 
have time to sit and do it.

 And once you use the face id to unlock the device it's bloody easy and quick.

 Much quicker I think than touch ID.

When I had a look and run through of the gestures and Face ID it was much

Attachments disappearing in mail on the mac

Hi all
Up until recently when I open an email that contains an attachment, I could 
navigate to the file and use VO space to open the attachment. Now the 
attachment file name does not show up, even says there is an attachment.
When I look at the same message on my phone, the attachment is visible.
I went to mail preferences
Accounts
Mail behaviours
But unable to find the key setting that ensure I can download attachments.

Hoping someone may know how to fix this.
I am using a Macbook pro 2016 with Sierra.

When I go in to system preferences it says it is on.
Also when I activate the Siri button, the audio beep prompt sound occurs.

Unfortunately this was also unsuccessful as it is still unable to detect my

Siri can not hear me

Hi all
Thank you for your help re the pdf question.
Another strange issue now. Just in the last few days, if I try to speak to Siri 
on the Mac, I keep getting the advice that Siri is unable to hear me and to 
check the microphone. I looked in system preferences and saw that the input for 
Siri was automatic. I changed this to internal microphone, but the problem is 
still there. Can someone please advise me on what else I can try to resolve 
this.
