Hmm. My Braille Edge is functioning fine with Bluetooth and Mavericks. I didn't get to test the Braille Sense products yet. Re: [HIMS-Notetakers] Mavericks and HIMS Braille displays.
Hey Scott. Whatever you do, if it's working fine, don't take it off or you may not get it back until somebody figures out and fixes what's wrong. It never occurred to me that my computer wouldn't even let me do USB yesterday and wouldn't even show me a list of braille displays on the table in VoiceOver Utility. But you're probably smarter than me, so you won't do what I did. Regards, Gigi On Oct 25, 2013, at 5:50 AM, Scott Davert scottslistm...@gmail.com wrote: Hmm. This is frustrating, but despite what they say, each new upgrade of either mac os or hims displays invariably breaks something. It can't be all apple's fault. Re: [HIMS-Notetakers] Mavericks and HIMS Braille displays.
Well, I don't think it applies to the Braille Edge 40 because mine works fine; I just Mavericks about ten minutes ago. So far, I have not found any new troubles with my Braille Edge. I am using Bluetooth, too. So this must not apply to it. My only thing so far is Finder busy. I had to restart another time to improve things, but I had this happen last time, too. I did have to call that 877 number, however, because I got it downloaded and then couldn't figure out how to make it start installing. Stupid me! I should have gone to the Applications menu. She was too nice to say that. Now I have to call her back and tell I'm ok now.
