Re: A question about showind audio description in a group setting?

2022-04-19 Thread Jonathan C. Cohn
there is the option of spectrum access: The catalog is a bit limited but it
works just like the technology in broadway shows but uses smartphones to add
captions or audio description.

Re: A question about showind audio description in a group setting?

2022-04-14 Thread Herbie Allen
The latter could be done with a Mac. Simple have the output set to the
projector and VO set to the headset and you’re good. As for the Share play, not
with a single device. You will need to devices that can do Face-time. Then one
device needs to be the one playing the video. However, I have not played with
this so I do not know if the DVS will work on one device and not the other so
you will want to experiment ahead of time.

Re: A question about showind audio description in a group setting?

2022-04-13 Thread Karen Lewellen
hmm could a single device running share play work if one was channeling the
film audio through a control surface of some kind or a sound mixer? say
one channel for the track of the film with audio description, and one
track with the main track?
Slightly different question, if there is no audio description, but
subtitles is there a way for the subtitles to be spoken, again through a
headset paired in, instead of the main sound for the rest of the room?

Thanks for helping me answer their questions.
Karen

It cannot be done as the audio description is part of the same track as the
movie. It might be possible with Share-Play, but that would. mean everyone has
to be on there own device.

A question about showind audio description in a group setting?

2022-04-13 Thread Karen Lewellen

making that subject clear is a challenge.
Here is the situation, one of my co-workers is going to be showing films

Think of well like going to the movies, without the special equipment
provided by the company.

How would you manage the process?

desire spoken subtitles?
