Re: Any Good Journaling or Diary Apps, Anyone?

2019-06-24 Thread Jürgen Fleger
Hello Marc,

yes, the data is on a sinc server of Day One. The subscription price differs
whether you include the Mac version as well as far as I remember. I use Day One
for ruffly a year now and don’t remember all the details. It just works fine.
To pay is highly appriciated in this case because I don’t want the developer to
get money by selling data from customers.

I’d rather see the data stored in iCloud but maybe it will be implemented one
day.

All the best

Hello David,

That sounds like a good idea except for the amount of storage space it takes
for each complete file with all of it's default overhead.

Hi Mark, apart from the laughter here,

And although a limo would look good,
The F150 would sound a truckload better just lacking the drinks cabinet and
need to not worry about drinking and driving.
 But yeah, Looks are everything,

A good journaling app is very sleek and presents the data in a certain way that

I suppose it's kind of like showing up at the prom in a modern stretch

RE: Any Good Journaling or Diary Apps, Anyone?

2019-06-23 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Jurgen and All,

Okay, I found Day One on the app store.

I see that there is a $34 price tag. Is this correct? I don't mind paying $34
as long as it is a flat rate. Some reviewers were saying that the app requires
a subscription. Is this so? I am a little confused on this point. Finally,
one of the reviewers states that Day One does not allow you to store your data
in iCloud but, rather, stores data on a Day One server.

I saw several reviews that really slammed the developers for not allowing
iCloud data storage especially when such personal data is in question.

Hey Marc,

save your money. I don't like Mac Journal for the same reasons and some more.

I'm very happy with Day One. Syncing works great and it's easy to use. The only
thing: the audio recorder is not really accessible with VoiceOver. But I capture
audios in an other app and import it via the share sheet to Day One. Works fine.

So, give it a try. All versions are accessible, for iOS and Mac OS.

All the best
Jürgen

Any Good Journaling or Diary Apps, Anyone?

2019-06-22 Thread M. Taylor
Hello All,

I downloaded Mac Journal for iPad a few weeks ago but, to be honest, I don't
really like it. For one thing, it's kind of wonky when it comes to having
the data stored in iCloud.

When I open the app on my iPhone, sometimes it sees the entries I've made on
iPad and sometimes, . Now I do not have Mac Journal for Mac OS and I don't
plan on spending anymore money on this particular product.

So, can anyone recommend another VoiceOver accessible diary/journaling app?
It would be great if the app could store data on iCloud.

All replies greatly appreciated.

Mark
